ignore has not been an option in E+W since oct 2012 (note the 2012 so for over 15 months)

it would seem you have lost your appeal chances on this , but start by checking and reading the NEWBIES - READ THIS NOW sticky thread , about 3 down from the top of this forum , that tells you everything you need to know
  • Do you think it can appeal to just pay the original notice? As none of the letters have been sent proof delivery?? Just weighing up my best options??

you have not given enough info to ask anyone to decide , but if in E+W its easy enough to win these things, just takes a bit of time and carefully crafted appeals, especially if it goes to popla

I cannot believe that you have read and digested the details in that sticky thread (or its links) in such a short period of time since my first reply

it would take an hour or two to process the info and links in that thread, certainly not 10 minutes !!
  • I will have a good read on my laptop rather than using my phone thanks

agreed, these legal challenges and links etc should be done properly, on a pc or laptop, its not something to be trusted to small screens and apps

You certainly do not need to pay Highview - and the Debt Recovery Plus letter chain is laughable - but it's best to get this cancelled.

The 'Private Parking Ticket? Newbies please read this first!' thread is on page one and answers all the usual FAQs, has a section about debt collectors and gives you links to Debt Recovery Plus letters. And then there's 'PPC letter chains' as another sticky thread (read BOTH links on it as the old pre-Oct 2012 one is better, has more letter chain pictures that still work). My signature below (not the red bit) tells newbies how to find page one of this forum if unsure - it is one click away.

Also you could just search the forum for the single keyword 'Recovery' using the 'search this forum' heading above the sticky threads, next to 'forum tools'. The search facility on MSE works well and you would be reading until 2015(!) seeing as tedious old DRP and Zenith letters are posted about EVERY day from people who haven't read the sticky info that's already here on the forum and who think they are too late to challenge or complain. NEVER too late!

Seriously, you should be complaining to the Retail Park Centre manager and to the Pizza Hut Manager!

As you have missed reading the sticky threads so far, I assume you haven't yet spotted that there's one called 'Successful Complaints about PPCs' which if you click on it, has examples of cases where Pizza Hut Managers have cancelled these fake PCNs with one complaint phone call. Should have done that AGES ago. Do it now but read the sticky thread about successful complaints first.

  • I complained today to high view and drp and as fear the said they review the case and I still have to pay cos I'm to late to appeal, I will read thoroughly your links,I have not named the the driver and also told them I don't agree. From the pictures they can't tell who's driving, I'm in it for the long haul and I will not pay these parasites, thanks for giving the confidence to fight, I was on the brink of paying until I saw your reply :) next stop Pizza Hut!!

You phoned Debt Recovery Plus, and were surprised when they told you that you had to pay the 'debt'! Of course they would say that - it's their job!!

OMG do not teeter near that brink of paying ever again! For the love of God, have you not noticed that people have been ignoring Highview for many, many years on this forum and they ONLY send a letter chain from DRP and Zenith. So what? Highview don't do Court, it's just junk mail. The only reason we encourage people to appeal now is because we know how to win and stop the junk mail.

Why on earth would anyone ever come to a forum like this and then phone a debt collector and believe they might have to PAY? Please take off those rose-coloured specs and start the New Year by NOT being the first victim to fall prey to this rip-off on this forum in 2014. No-one PAYS, not even if the Pizza Hut Manager says 'get lost; you still don't actually send money to anyone just to avoid some letters! Don't tell me DRP now have your phone number as well...please say you hid the number first or you will get contact by phone as well now like some sort of PPI reclaim scam. Please wise up.

IF it ever did come down to paying them , your "friend" should pay this as they are the ones who dropped you in it with their stupid and lame advice !! clearly not studying the legal profession I take it ? ;) LOL

I hope you have made it clear to this person or people (thickos) the trouble they have caused you with their ill-advised words

a quick google search should have told them different in 5 minutes flat !

as CM says, these people were never going to agree that you should not pay, its their job to try to make you pay !! it may even add to their wages if they had gotten you to pay , like on some bonus scheme

best way to get a charge cancelled is get the landowner to do it , so yes , chase them up and complain like the worst nightmare you can imagine , Mr angry shopper !!
  • Slightly embarrassed now, but drp and high can do one! Thanks guys
