Samsung D500 crashed!!!

can any of you wizards help me?
my D500 seems to have crashed, i made a call, then about half an hour later i tried to use it again and none of the buttons would work except the power button. i tried turning it off and on again but it wouldnt even let me enter my pin. the only thing i can do is turn it off and on.
any suggestions?

try taking the battery out for a couple of mins.
if that doesnt work, its most likely a software fault0 -

Sounds like a software fault, is the phone still under warranty ? If so take it back to the shop where they will re-flash it.0

the phone is a couple of years old so i cant return it.
what is flashing? can it be done in most repair shops? is it expensive?

flashing/reflashing is where the software on the phone is reloaded onto the phone0
