I have again spoken to jobcentre+ and they have said he is on both income related and contributory esa. If he is on both and in the support group surley they cannot take his private pension (which is under 85.00) from his esa payment? we are going to see a benefits officer on Friday to see if they can sort out what is going on but I would still like your imput so that I know what questions to ask. thanks

I would just ask if they could give you a full written explanation on how they work out the final sum paid to you, at least then you would have something you could use to check with CSA or some other body that what they say is correct (The DWP do make mistakes !!!!)
