ESA & Pension!!!
Comments

Something is wrong here - if OP's husband is on Contributory ESA then the pension should be disregarded as it is less than £85 per week. He should not be on Income Related ESA due to OP's work. I'm confused!0
-
The OP was on ESA conts in the Support group he should remain on there and on ESA conts until his medical.
I dont know why they have put him on ESA IR??0 -
does it make any difference that he is in esa support group on a ds1500?0
-
and should they have stopped payment completely with no notice and especially over Christmas and new year?0
-
if there is a query on the claim it is quite usual for payment to be suspended0

He last got any payment on 6/12 and since then not a penny!
If a compliance officer is coming to your house do they have to let you know beforehand or is it normal for them just to show up?
No they have to inform you that you are coming
If you are in the support group can they just stop your money and not inform you?
No if they suspend your claim you should get a letter first and there has to be a reason
are you not allowed a small pension without it affecting your esa payment
As said depends if you are on ESA cont or ESA IR
thanks for you help in advance.
How long have they known about the Pension?0 -

just been having a read about income/contribution based esa. as far as I can make out if you are in the support group and on contribution based you should stay on contribution based (as there is no time limit) and therefore his pension should not be effected..is this correct?0

Yes. The first £85 of a pension is ignored for contribution based benefits.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
