Pregnant but not prepared

Thanks all for you meaningful thoughts. The dad is my husband who I am seperated from. I would like to advise that we are getting back together and seem to have sorted out a lot or almost all of our issues. He is really happy.
I can't get in at the doctors until Wednesday : (. But I popped in today to do a urine sample. My doctor has also advised that I stop taking my anti depressants and he has prescribed ones suitable for pregnant mothers. According to him the predictor test is very accurate and better than the hospital tests. Hopefully I will know for definite later this week. I have started feeling a little sick as well. I will keep you updated.

Wouldn't worry too much. Not that I'm advocating this at *all*, but my mum smoked 20/day for the first six months of her pregnancy (didn't know she was pregnant, had periods and everything!) and I turned out just fine.. so ADs for a few weeks won't affect much!0

So happy for you - hope it all works out for you both.
(not medically qualified so take this with a pinch of salt - stop worrying! Enjoy your pregnancy - hope you have a good one. And the sicky times don't last long)

Hi All,
Had confirmation from the doctors that I am definitely pregnant. One problem though. I don't know when my last period was so we can't be certain of how many weeks I am. The first appointment is at 8 week? Besides the fact that I have lost my mind/memory.......is there any other way of telling/working out when it was? A bit of a dumb question I know but I really have no idea how many weeks I could be. Thanks as always for your help.

you should be offered a dating scan - this may not be until what you guestimate to be about 12 weeks though but if you're seeing the midwife at 8 weeks then you should be able to sort it out then0
