I have got an interview at McDonalds. It's 4 nights a week 4-12. It's more than I thought I'd want but it's the first interview I've gotten in nearly 3 years so I'm not sure what to do. I have my interview at the job centre this afternoon too I suppose I need to weigh up the pro's and cons. I need to tell myself this is for 6 months tops (once eldest starts school I will need to cut down to only weekends or post 6pm as otherwise we'll not be able to do all his pick ups etc as hubby is either going to be working or on a PGCE). I need to look at how much money we could stand to bring in, and how much of that I could squirrel away. how nice a holiday we could have in june, and how good I'll feel quitting in August! lol I'm talking as if I've got the job too........that's not a given is it!?! Reason is (and I know this is selfish) but I don't know how I'm going to cope not being the one to put my children to bed at night 4 nights a week. 1 I will miss them with my whole being and it's going to be tough just 1 night but 4 is a nightmare and 2. hubby has never done a bedtime alone. Even when we're both here he doesn't really help much beyond watching the youngest while I do story time or watching the eldest 2 while I put youngest down. It's not that I don't think he'll cope, it's just, well, it's been my job for the past 2 years, and I want it to continue to be my job! :-(
Anyway, off to get dressed seeing as I've been up over an hour already. I'm still full of stinking cold and feel like death but did get a whole 4 hours sleep last night plus a 2 hour nap yesterday.....wow! lolChanging my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!

It just keeps coming today. Got our HB claim through. Full whack!!!! Over £400 a month!!
That's more than I could potentially earn!
Ermmmm....this throws a spanner in the works. I'm going this afternoon but now I have a bit of a buffer (already received 1 weeks payment) for me to keep looking closer to home. Will keep on trucking. Have 1 week to decide what to do after all!Changing my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!

Not a lot to report at the moment. Got a few new bits to FB/Ebay thanks to my de-cluttering project that I have on-going for the house. It seems to be working as I'm finding that the house isn't getting quite as messy quite as quickly. I'm trying to do all the housework as it needs doing (apart from washing which is never-ending! lol) and I'm happy to say the house feels nicer. I have a few bits to do today but I don't feel as stressed out about it all.
Money wise- hmmmmm it's still a work in progress. The HB will definitely help but we have to get to the 18th on what we have in the bank accounts which is going to be hard work but I think we can get there if we're strict with ourselves. I need to sit down and re-do the budget but I'm scared and I never get proper time to do it. Maybe try tonight.
I'm no longer 'looking' to work either. I'll keep my eyes open but hubby has said that as long as we have 'enough' he'd rather I was at home full time which is lovely
I'm going to continue with my efforts to make a bit extra and hopefully we'll not have to touch it.
Oh and I'm trying to think of days as individuals. It's my new 'mantra'. I have borderline depression (as my Dr called it! lol) so I have some days where I can dip into it, normally when I'm VERY sleep deprived, ill or both. This weekend I had one of those 'episodes' and it really aggravated me. I'm determined now that that will be the last one. It brings everyone down and makes the household miserable. Never again.
So, the rest of semester in numbers -
Days remaining - 63 (weeks - 9)
NSD target - 40
Next payday - W.18.3.14 (23 days)
NSD target - 17
special occasions - Wedding anniversary 12.4.14 (6 years)
Tea tonight - toad in the hole, roast pots and brocolli

One of my New Years Resolutions was to learn to bake. Well last night I made the best Victoria Sponge I have ever made in my life! Seriously - light, fluffy, soft and sweet. Could have done with a touch more jam but I only had one of those little Tiptree pots
I'm so pleased with myself. Can't wait for teatime to have some more!
Next week I'll be making either Scones or Shortbread - I can't decide lol
Not a lot else to report. Very tired weirdly considering LO only had me up twice compared to the 5 times the night before. Trying to get my washing done and I should be doing my washing up right now but it's not happening
- time to get a move on I suppose. Changing my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!

No no spend day for me today as I had to head into town to get milk and drop off something I'd sold on FB. Spent the money on stuff for the kids - paints, a new toy, some sweets lol
They deserve it lol
Also got the ingredients for fajitas for tea. hubby and I are slightly addicted to these at the moment, but they're a heck of a lot cheaper and quicker than take-aways lol
So excited lol
Nothing else to report. Busy day today and another tomorrow. Bring on Friday when I can try to make some more head-way with this house. I think I'm developing OCD!

impromptu day off here. Weather was horrid and we were running late after a bad night with LO so gave eldest a day off so I didn't have to get the whole family wet through 3 times in one day! Just the once later instead for gym class instead.
To do today -
laundry all sorted, folded, put away and 2 loads through the washer.
Tidy, vacuum, dust and polish front room
Sort play area (which at the moment looks like a bomb site!)
Tidy bedrooms (not too bad but want to keep on top of them)
Washing up! (again! grrrrrr!)
Declutter job - sort through cupboards in kitchen.
Don't know what to make for tea. Thinking something sausage-y as I still have loads in the freezer! :-)Changing my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!

My 'sealed jar' (my orange pig lol) was full this morning so I counted it up as I was £3 short on paying for eldests classes tonight with cash . Turns out there was over £20 in there. I've kept 20, given the shrapnel to eldest for his money box and put about 50p back in so it's not completely bare! lol. At the moment there's £12 in my tin all counted into whole £s ready for paying in whenever, and £8 in £1 coins went in my purse to pay for the classes tonight. Whatever I don't use i'll put in the tin. Savings target is looking good as over £70 in the bank and now £12 in the tin on top of the cupboard. I'm well chuffed! £82.43 running total. :j
Washing up - done! :T
Laundry - washing loads done, most taken off the airer
Not done my tidying or anything yet as babies have been playing up needing extra naps. Teething all around......eurgh!

Not a lot going on. CB payday tomorrow (thank heavens), have 6 items to sell trying FB first as it's the least effort. Have 1 of them though I think I'll ebay straight off as it's a corset that cots a lot of money. I think £10 is a fair price but will price postage fair and start at 99p as normal.
Job-search has ground to a halt. We have kind of come to the conclusion that I'm not able to work right at this moment. In a month or so we'll re-think I think as then I'll have more time, but at the same time, this is the last summer we'll have as a family without work, school and other things interrupting the idyll, so I think I'd rather just scrimp where I can and allow us to have a nice laid back summer. Selfish of me I know.
No other news really. I've been really broody this past week or so, really struggling. However today I've had terrible cramps and it's put me right off the thought lol. I do feel like there's something 'missing' but I just can't put my finger on what.
I stepped out on the ice in skates for the first time yesterday. Very pleased with myself and it looks like I'm going again either this Wednesday or next sunday depending on when we go again.Changing my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!
