jobs tonight - sort out and put away all clothing (sort through all the outgrown stuff to sell/pack away/get rid of).
Sort through all toys and re-organise.
I have 2 hours to do this between boys going to bed at 7 and hubby returning from skating at about 9.
I will get it all done! :-)
EDIT: I did the clothes and called it quits! I have the kitchen to tidy, bottles to make and the downstairs to sort before hubby gets home. Just having my tea before I crack back on. However, I have managed to get at least 6 more items to put on ebay, most of which are 'bundles' so I'm a happy camper! Will do them tomorrow I think along with a couple of things I've been trying to flog on FB with no great success.Changing my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!

Eurgh! Stinking cold all round. I'm shattered and just need to rest but have so much to do as last night I sorted through all the toys trying to get rid of some of them/tidy and sort them. I've got a few ready to go to the charity shop but most are still here
so they need to be put into their new homes but the children are busy destroying what little order I had brought to it!
I also have a load of washing up to do (should get that done this afternoon) but I want to take the kids out for a walk to get some fresh air as we've been cooped up all of yesterday due to illnesses. Eldest has the same cold and was sick yesterday with the coughing so missed pre-school and everything. May get him to take his scooter round the houses later with me and the babies
middle and youngest seem over the worst but the thing about babies and toddlers is that colds linger (because they can't blow their noses) so they're still snotty and snuffly. 2 loads of washing to do and hang up and Monday's laundry to fold and put away. Whole house to vacuum and sweet and sour chicken to cook for dinner.
What else? Erm I also didn't manage to get my ebay stuff put up so will have to wait until next week now as we're out all day sunday at my Mums. Haven't seen her since September I think. Not really very close so not looking forward to it - I know the day is going to be too long for everyone involved.
Oh and I also need to get to the shops tonight once hubby is home and the kids are in bed. Hoping he gets a flyer so I can go this afternoon/evening instead and maybe bring home a cheeky ready meal.....is that bad?
Other than that.....not a lot to report. I've managed to put £6 into my savings pot over the past week too which isn't too shabby. I'm nearly up to £40 overall - only £10 off my monthly target of £50 so if in the next 6 days I can make that (ebay sales should hopefully help that) then I will be on target. I hope to save at least half of my £850 through this kind of squirrelling and selling. The other half will be taken out of hubby's student loans as his contribution. I should be able to take about £300 without it limiting us at all......plus the spending money for our holiday too.
Anyway, I've waffled enough. House isn't going to clean itself. :mad:Changing my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!

Only sold 1 of my 5 things but got over £4 for it so happy with that. Still waiting on them paying though

Not a lot going on currently. As we all had colds the house has once again descended into a pit but it's easy enough to rectify if the boys take 5 minutes off attempting to kill one another. I have had a few issues with my eldest's behaviour but we're getting there. He's 95% lovely, but when he plays up it's hell.
Money wise it's been a bit of a naff few days too. Did my shopping via tesco online. Had a few good subs in there (got £14 of meat for £8!) but the cocked a lot of it up too so I'm going to have to go into town tomorrow for more than I expected. Hubby has been ill too and we ended up getting a Dominos delivered last night instead of eating out of the kitchen. We're out a lot this week too with it being hubby's birthday. While I'm looking forward to his birthday I'll be glad when it's next week.Changing my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!

Feel a bit better about today now. I've been out and tidied the garden and sorted out a few bits and bobs. I've put £3.12 into my savings account (loose pennies in the accounts) with the aim of starting a new month with a new budget as things have gone a bit screwy.Told hubby we're on next to nowt until 1st April lol.
Got rid of some clutter today with more to go tomorrow which is always a nice feeling. Wish it was bringing in some more cash though!

Ok - finances checked and sorted. budget is now set at £54 a week including vouchers. Sounds worse than what it actually is. I have a kitchen full of food already, and the remainder of the week of fuel in the car too. I have also budgeted hubby's birthday meal in too.
It's £210/month, less £60 for fuel is £150 a month on food. As long as we don't have any more takeaways out of the budget i.e. if I get any money drop in then we can spend/save that.
Got a couple of extra applications to do. hubby has an extra grant he can apply for and I need to re-do (again! lol) my Housing Benefit application so may be better off soon but not going to bank on it. This (i.e the budget we have to live off) is better/more than we were living off in the summer, so I'm ok with it. not ecstatic. I could kick myself though. I have not done well!

5 more items on 10days on ebay! One I'm hoping will fetch at least £5 (bridal handbag) so here's hoping.
Looking forward to tomorrow - hubby's birthday celebration :-)Changing my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!

Wow! I'm just a walking disaster zone today.
Picked up hubby's birthday cake this morning ready for tonight's celebration. I put it on the table in it's box thinking it would be safe. 30mins later I find my 20mo with the box open munching on the icing decorations. He had taken off most of the lettering and both large numbers (cake was in the shape/design of a hockey jersey).
20 minutes of shouting, panicking, time-outs and crying later, I'm calm enough to try to rectify the situation. Seriously, this cake was the one thing I had left in my arsenal to make hubby actually enjoy his birthday and it was in pieces in front of me! £50 apparently down the drain.
I picked up the pieces, took the cake to the kitchen and raided the cupboards for the icing we had bought last October for my 4yos birthday cake. I managed to find the correct colours and in the right amounts to at least attempt to re-build it. I couldn't take it back to the cake maker - she is busy and can't come out and I don't have a car as hubby has taken it to Uni. It was down to me!
Well, it took about an hour and all my concentration. My littlest one was screaming but I had to get it done otherwise I'd be worried all day.
Not sure how you attach pictures on here but I'll give it a go.
Lets hope the day calms down a bit, although now it's a case of cleaning up the icing sugar bomb that went off in the kitchen as well as everything else. Hubby and MIL are getting here about 4pm, so don't really have time to be writing this! :eek:Changing my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!

Hi all!
Party went smoothly but we have slightly haemorrhaged money this past few days - had a fab time though!
. Hubby and I have have gotten on with our paperwork though. I've done my HB form this morning so should be able to take the evidence in this week, maybe next. His form takes 3-4 weeks for the award to come through if you get one. Until then we're on a no-spend challenge. I'm allowing myself only to buy milk, bread, and nappies! lol. I cleared the kitchen the other day and found so much stuff I can make into meals, seems stupid to buy more!
We'll see how we get on.
Other thing is that our oven broke. We can get on to the landlords but the house is a state (3 children make mess! lol) so I have to make sure it's cleaned up first lol. Oh and we need to get rid of the dog for a while too. We're tempted to try to get one 2nd hand (gumtree et al) for £50 to last us as we're not planning on being here more than 18 more months - then we wouldn't have to tell them. We're also due an inspection and I don't want to remind them. Although the fence also needs work and we're not willing to shell out for that as it was replaced 3 years ago when we moved in and we've done nothing to it for it to break, it's simply not been put in right!
In other news, there isn't any other news lol. I'm shattered as per, and Monday is my usual catch up day but I did most of it yesterday so apart from laundry I'm in for a nice day I reckon. Paprika chicken in the slow cooker, and kids all happy! :TChanging my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!

Looks like I'm looking for work as of today. Gravy train of being a SAHM has come to a full-on end. I'm so upset but I suppose it couldn't last forever. I love being at home and spending time with my children, raising them like a mother should, but we can't carry on with no money and it was always the plan that while hubby was at uni money was my responsibility and then once he was qualified I could then stay at home. I just kind of got used to the concept of being at home indefinitely......sounds spoiled but it's how I feel.
Anyhoo....off to print off some CV's, write some letters and do some hunting online and also need to make an appointment at the job centre to sign on....god I hate that place. I was signing on last year (before I had DS3) and they make you feel so pathetic, I'd do anything to avoid it.Changing my Family's Future!! - Starting again!!!!
