Cancelling sky...what next?

Hey folks. We have our 2nd child due in 4 weeks, so looking to save money where possible.
Currently have Sky entertainment package with broadband and calls. Going to phone up tonight and cancel with the hope of a good offer coming my way. But in the mean time I'm looking for a backup option.
Hopefully someone can help…I've listed below our most watched channels which is pretty limited really, a real must for me though is being able to record content or easily find on catchup somehow, as we never watch tv live.
sky 1
sky living
fox
sky atlantic (would be nice, but not a deal breaker)

so am I best hawking a deal with sky or is there a better option due to how few channels we watch? Oh and we're going to need a new set top box soon anyway so we're kind of expecting to have to buy a new one.
I have an apple tv so have also considered the netflix route.

If you can wait on TalkTalk to release recording of internet channels they would probably be a good fit for your channel requirements, they don't carry Sky Atlantic though. It would cost you £30.50 for broadband, phone and the Sky Entertainment Extra package (line rental is extra charged p/m or yearly).
More information on their Entertain Extra package here https://sales.talktalk.co.uk/info/tv/tv-extras/boost/entertainment-extra
They give you a free youview box too.0 -
Thanks. I think I might go the freesat PVR route for now. Just got netflix and the wife is very happy with that. Just need to choose a broadband provider now, may well go with talktalk for so I can always jump on their tv package if they sort out their internet recording.0
