Setting up new fiber BB?

Maybe this should go in tech? But I thought you guys would know.

I'm looking at getting a new fiber service as I have to move now Be have gone to Sky.

I have no power sockets anywhere near the phone socket. I run an extension lead through a gap in the stairs to the landing above and have the current bb router there. (I get a rock sold 9 meg 24/7).

Is this going to work for fiber? Or do I have to stick with none fiber??

I know some ISP's give you the option at the time of order to select a fibre extension kit as part of the install. I know PlusNet offer this and is free but not sure about other ISP's

    Google fibre extension kit

I have the same set up. It wasn't a problem. You just need to tell them at the time of order. The engineer with then run a data extension cable from the master socket to wherever you want it in the house.
