Thanks Seagull. Ad hoc wasn't selected, "Any available was. I changed it to infrastructure but without success.

I have managed to get it to work by going to a Restore Point back in April (before my daughter borrowed it!) but would prefer to have it working with the current settings if possible

When it is working, what do the dns servers say.. (obtain dns servers automatically?)

In control panel, network connections, your wireless adapter, properties, tcpip properties, I changed it to "Obtain DNS automatically" and this has solved it.
Many thanks to Albertross and Seagull (are you related?) for their efforts.

Edit: Seems that if I hadn't found it myself, Albertross, you were already telling me to do it!

at the moment i'm wired going from wireless buffalo g54
and no i cant get it wireless


i cant get connection with wireless though
it says limited on no connectivity
it was fine yesterday adternoon

i am encrypted and yes the keys match

Try changing channels on the router. 1, 6 or 11, and check by looking in the router config that the key still matches.
