i have been to turkey and found it quite inexpensive also 2 years ago we took our kids to sunny beach in bulgaria we were there for 2 weeks half board for just under 1200 but we found it realy hard to spend money as everything was so inexpensive only managed to spend about £600 and bought a load of gifts meals out etc

Just an example.. you could go from Luton to Bergamo for just over £100 for a week in July .. 5th -12th .. pick up a hire car prebooked (150 of less) Bergamo is beutiful , Milan is nearby , so is lake Como
Lots of hotels / self catering bookable on the net..

I would avoid anything from mid July onwards because of school holidays..

Disneyland Paris is definitely not worth the money, save up and take them to the real thing in Florida when you can, you won't regret it! For now, Italy is a fabulous family friendly destination, Mallorca is also a good choice.

    Benidorm.
    Flights with https://www.skydeals.co.uk from Newcastle
    Apt with Benidorm Reservation Centre

    Transfers with https://www.shuttledirect.com
    Travel insurance from https://www.egg.com
I took worldwide annual family cover for £50 as it covered a trip to UAE otherwise it would have only been £15 for Europe

I would have to agree that Disney Paris would probably be a large waste of money - wait until your littley is at least 3 and go to Florida. Make a real holiday of it.

For now why not look at Majorca, has beaches if you want but if you hire a car there are lots of historic and beautiful places to see and quite peaceful off the beaten track.

The suggestions of Italian Lakes are a good bet too - I haven't been myself but its on my own list (for one day!) Not sure myself about prices for that area but if you can go Eurocamp style then its bound to be cheaper.

I have small children too, and after a few hit and miss holidays, my rules at the moment are:
    Not a long flight!
Make it near a beach, if all else fails they love the sand and sea.
We're doing all inclusive this year as youngest will holiday for £29 as he won't turn 2 till the day after we get back and my other child took the free childs place.
All inclusive is a bit o.t.t as we don't drink , but i love the idea of the kids being able to eat a range of foods and not waiting for food (little angels aren't great at waiting).
Look at websites that give you advice. Our first holiday was very unchild friendly and miles from anything.
    Happy holiday.

I am also looking for holiday ideas. My husband won't fly so it will need to be in the uk.
We don't want to drive as far as the lake district although we love it there as our baby girl will be only 5 months old and it took us 5 hours to drive there last time (to long a car journey for her)
On top of this we have a limited buget but want to go away for two weeks we want somewhere near restaurants and shops so we do't need to cook.
We would ideally like a cottage or appartment. We need to book but don't have time to look though endless website or brochures.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

what kind of distance are you prepared to travel and from where???

If is South, what about the New Forest / Dorset coast or if South east, Devon, Cornwall etc

North Norfolk is lovely, or the Welsh mountains...

really depends where you are ;) But we are very lucky to have so many beautiful places in this country to visit.
