Does anyone know where i can buy condensed milk for less than £1.20 a tin (sainsburys) as I use quite a lot in baking. Does anyone apart from carnation make it?

I've never seen supermarket branded C.M.
Fussel's brand is often cheapest and I usually buy a few tins if I see it on special offer.
Haven't seen it for a while though.
Looks like you might have to pay the £1.20 !
Perhaps thats why you have had lots of view and no replies - we all wanted to know where to get it cheaper!0 -

No, sorry! Looked at Tesco online and it's the same price, same brand.
Possibly Sunday evening isn't the best time to ask - not many people off to the shops atm

Here's the recipe to try, it's simple to make and a good substitution.Sweetened Condensed Milk180ml boiling water
85g unsalted butter (not marge)
200g caster sugar
320g powdered milk
Combine all ingredients in electric blender until thick- approx 2 minutes.
Store in refrigerator.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
