if you fail to display you ar wasting their time, wasting the wardens time and the appeal persons time in creating this situation, so i can understand them refusing to budge on this.
imagine if everyone failed to display and had to waste all that time and refund!!!
If that isn't something you haven't just made up, perhaps a link to the case law covering inadequate sticky tape could help the op.0 -

Just a thought the dvla don't supply any tape. Am I exempt from displaying my tax disc?0 -
you're an idiot, residents permits are supplied with backing tape in london, they're square permit with a larger backing tape which is roughly 1 inch thick on each side.0

Tax discs aren't.
So you have the link to the defective tape defence? No because like the car park thread you make things up to suit.
I'm beginning to think English isn't your first language.0 -

Well they stick to the windscreen too. I was wondering if your special tape defence is a catch all. Maybe not, but for those of us who don't like in our parents home in London. Can you post the London parking regs that cover defective Sellotape?0 -

for tax disc you use your own tape, so it would be a bit silly to make that defence, but feel free to try!
Residents permits come with tape preattached, you peel off and stick to yuor windscreen. I don't understand why it couldn't be more clearer.0 -

No they don't. I've just tried and they're completely non-sticky :beer:0 -

Mine didn't, luckily my car has a clip to hold it in place.
It's either "more clear" or "clearer" never "more clearer" BTW.The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett
