Clydesdale Bank security token

I was wondering if anyone has actually received a security token for a Clydesdale/Yorkshire Bank account?
Despite applying for one almost a month ago, I still haven't received it, and upon calling the bank they claim that many people seem to be having problems receiving theirs - which seems a bit weird, if all the ones they've sent have gotten lost in the post to each customer.
After many calls to them they claimed to have ordered a replacement to be sent - which hasn't arrived either.
Has anyone actually received one - if they actually exist, or are even being produced?

I had to re-apply for mine - it probably then took a couple of weeks to come.
I have used it tonight and it worked ok.Not Rachmaninov

I received mine very quickly within days. Just logged into my account and decided to do an internal transfer not as quick as other banks as you have to fill in a few boxes!!!"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0

Had mine for about 6 weeks now.0

Ive had mine for about two months. It is a bit of a pain sometimes but not as much hassle as other banks that want you to insert your debit card into the reader. You do not need to use it for every transaction - sometimes your password will suffice. I think it depends on the value of the transaction and if you have paid the beneficiary before.0

Thanks - is the token similar to HSBC's Securekey device I assume?"Kids respect landlords. I think it's the keys."0

No it is bigger a bit like a small calculator size of a debit card.
Silly me didn't realise that they paid interest on the last day of the month like Nationwide, only realised when I logged into today. Presumed they were the same as Lloyds, BOS and TSB."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0 -

Me too - I did my accounts for the year on New Year's Eve and have had to go back to account for just over £7 of interest.
I am really wondering if it was a good idea opening this account as I already get 3% with Lloyds and TSB. I don't like the online banking set up either - it took me ages to realise I had to set a filter to see transactions before December. Not Rachmaninov

We have to grab the best rates on the market and 4% is a good rate at the moment. I have also opened a joint account with them. I agree their online banking is not the best reminds me of the Derbyshire Building Society.
You will have to move your interest tomorrow from your LLoyds and TSB accounts. Have you not thought about opening a BOS account??"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"0 -
I have been using my Clydesdale Direct Current Account for over a month now and have had few problems. Have the security token and agree it is better than the other banks where you have to insert your debit card.
The online banking is a little different - I have had accounts with a great many banks and have never seen so many transactions debited immediately. I only have to pop into Sainsburys and the debit is right there online. Initially it doesn't give the name of the company, that appears the next day. Also the running balance often includes DDs and SOs due to leave the next day but which aren't listed yet in the list of transactions. You also get to see funds which have been marked (like when a company verifies your card without actually making a debit) which rolls off after a couple of days.
The transaction list feels like raw data, unsanitised in any way. I'm OK with it, just takes a little getting used to.
Seems like you can do pretty much anything other banks let you do online so no obvious omissions, unless I have not noticed missing functionality. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
