VFR 800?
Ducati ST4?
ST4, theres a thought. I've had an ST2 before (the worst Ducati ever built I believe) but it was probably the first bike I had that let me enjoy bikes.0 -

xrv 750 Africa twin, its good bike if you like the twins, a bit of a lumpy ride compared to a 4 cylinder and it will hold its money
if you don't mind to go older get a gpx 750, I have one for 3 years now on a f reg, superb engine never misses a beat and will do 90 all day motorway.
Definately dont mind older, I've a 1981 gsx750et in the garage that just needs the petrol tank reattached (removed to clean carbs, never got round to doing it yet).0 -
Ducati Monsters.
Love the name, but wouldn't buy a Ducati just for that reason.
No, wait, I bought my Kawasaki because I liked the nice green colour...Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

im having my gpz600r done in green, was hoping to get the panels back b4 the hols, alas not. come Monday I will be at the spray shop to make sure they know how disappointed I am.0 -

Afraid not. I bought it locally, it had went from Aberdeen to somewhere down south before coming back north in a job lot apparently.
It's been fully restored at some point (guessing a couple of years before I bought it) and standard apart from a stainless steel exhaust.
Whoever restored it thought stuck on pinstriping would look nice. It doesnt.
I once sold a 1969 Honda 250 K0 that I've regretted ever since, dont want the Suzuki to go the same way.

looks great and would be too much for me in that condition
I do a full nuts and bolts strip down on all mine and get them back to original condition as far as parts everything polished or resprayed. ive been sending panels of to be done but been let down recently so now going to have a go at spraying the cbr1000f panels myself. in white0 -

I dont think the moneys in them any more, it was £620 with no MOT but passed no problem.
Looks like it was a full nut and bolt job (they're all allen bolts now)but there was a wee bit surface rust on them by the time I got it.
When I took the carbs off to clean, I discovered the starting problem was more likely related to the choke being siezed (could pull cable but a wee rod never moved).0 -
You could just about get yourself a Bonneville for £3k.
