Mado,
The hack for this player probably won't work on your player, as different players have different hacks. If you let me know the make and model of your one, I'll see if I can find a hack for it.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

incardvd.co.uk are offering the CENTURION PPBDVD8 for £128.94 including next day delivery (Argos price is £169.99 and Motorworld price is £179.99!!)
I recently bought one from them and it keeps the kids happy for hours on those long trips!!!
It comes complete with:
*8" widescreen TFT LCD Screen with multi region DVD player (it also plays CD, CD-R and MP3 discs)
*Carry case (which doubles up as a mounting kit)
*Mains and In-car power leads
*AV leads to connect it to your TV
*Two pairs of earphones
*An ear phone splitter
*Infra-red Remote control
*Built-in anti-shock
*The all important 12-month warranty.
(This does not have a battery facility so is not a true portable but is excellent for the car)
The screen is big enough and the picture is excellent, as is the sound - Superb value for money!!!0 -
Plus £20 for the sight test, and whatever you want to pay for the glasses, contact lenses, etc! I'm sure the bigger screen would work out better value in the long run.0

For those who have one - what kind of quality is the £49.99 one? I am interested to know what it's like:
1. Standalone
2. When connected to a TV.
Also presumably when connected to a TV the sound comes from the TV?
Thanks, Tony0 -

Take your adapter with you as the trains now have a plug beside each two seats so you can plug in and not use up the batteries0 -

Ah well thats because tico and I live in a "posh" part of the country
Having said that I am assuming that the plugs are available on all long distance cross country trains0
