Dropped my Camera Doh!!

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me on this. Managed to drop my digital camera on a hard floor. The lens now refuses to retract when switching the camera off (looks a bit wonky tbh). Is it safe to undo the little screws at the bottom of the camera and have a fiddle about? or is this going to be more trouble than it's worth…

Yep, even with the battery removed, you can still get some amazing shocks from the flash capacitors - I know from finding out the hard way; twice.

Would you say that to a stranger's face in the street? No? Then why type it on a forum?
