I would appreciate you pointing out just where at any point have I been rude to anyone? I'm not the one being rude here.


In fact, I haven't called anyone any names, merely stated my opinion on an open forum. You may not like it, you may disagree; that's up to you.

From different posters, which to most people would suggest something about the way you responded to a simple query.

There is one thing that might possibly work if you don't want to simply bin the key.

Stick it in a padded envelope (stamped but no address and not sealed) along with a letter explaining who it is from and next time you are passing your local police station pop in there.

Speak to the person on the desk and tell them what you want to do, and ask if they could get the address of the registered keeper (they can find this easily enough) and ask them if they would write it on the envelope and drop it in the post.

They may do this, and if they don't then just put the key in the rubbish.
