Samsung mini vs motorola g?
Hi all
Thinking about upgrading my old phone (makes calls and sends texts ... ) to a smart phone.
A friend has told me that she saw a Samsung mini (not sure if it's the 3 or 4, but probably the 3) unlocked at £75 (down from £150).
Or there's the Motorola G which there's a separate thread on here about, at Tesco for £129 16G or £99 8GB - both locked.
I've seen some poor reviews about the Samsung battery life, but do you have any other thoughts about the choice between these two phones? Does the Samsung have any extra functions that the Motorola doesn't?
Thanks.

I have the galaxy mini and i wouldnt recommend it. The battery life is rubbish, and despite only having had it for almost a year, it sometimes wont let me use wifi, so i have to turn it off and back on again.
Go for the moto if i were you.0 -

IMO, the only, but serious, advantage of Samsung is a SD card slot.
Also, AFAIK Motorola's warranty is just 12-month for some retailers in UK unlike Samsung's (24): https://motorola-global-en-roe.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/97137/p/30,6720,9050/action/auth0 -
Thanks, all. That's a really helpful site, Grumbler thanks.
I think I've read that you can attach a USB drive to the Motorola so can transfer photos etc off-line, as it were?0 -
I've heard this too, but IMO this isn't very feasible in practice on the move.0
