I won't contest it because I know I won't get an adequate explanation. They've got form.
People should be aware that they could be banned with little justification. I've no idea why my account has been suspended.0 -
Exactly. And when SB are asked to justify their ruling, they issue a peremptory and vague response that doesn't specify the alleged offence. This happened to a friend of mine.
Really? So a 'friend' got booted off and now you've got booted off and so you aren't going to ask them why?
I suspect you know why.
For what it's worth, you can miss as many captchas as you like. You won't get booted off.0 -

Funny.
Now why would a company randomly boot people off when they are actually dependent on people like us using the site and the features?
It makes no sense whatsoever to just ban someone for no reason and if you think they have done that, then you are quite silly.0 -
Typing Quack Quack Oops into search just got me 6SB....
Thanks for the inspiration!0 -

If nothing else, you could warn people about the sort of "little justifications" SB might use to ban others.
But I've genuinely no idea why I was banned.
I watched videos, entered captchas, conducted real searches and played games. So banning me is most perplexing.
I even read SB's response when my friend contested his expulsion. It was literally a two-sentence missive adducing 'a violation of our terms and conditions'. No further elaboration.
Sure, SB works well for lots of people. But please try to understand that some have truly been mistreated and that they have no meaningful recourse.0 -

Because I know the answer I'll get. My friend requested an explanation and he didn't get a satisfactory one. Why should I expect a more forthcoming response? Should I enlist the intercession of Acas?
People are free to take my experience on board if they wish. They should just appreciate that the site is not a munificent source of wondrous bounty for everyone.
Indisputably, it is only accountable to itself.0 -
Having worked hard to reach all of my daily targets for the past fortnight - by watching videos, playing games and conducting the odd search - my SB account has suddenly been deactivated.
Yet I haven't violated any of their terms and conditions. I haven't missed a single Captcha since opening the account, nor have I made spurious searches to win points.
I've heard about Swagbucks making such arbitrary decisions before, but I didn't think they'd actually do it without a good reason. Guess I was wrong.
There's probably no point contesting the decision. I've heard how it works: they're judge and jury, and will probably just say that I've committed some irremissible transgression for which the punishment is lifelong ostracism. No need to explain the precise offence in question.
So if anyone reading this post was contemplating SB as an additional income stream, don't bother. They'll just find a way to gyp you out of earnings that are rightfully yours.
I think you're in the minority there. I've been using Swagbucks for almost 2 years with no problems at all. I'd imagine it has something to do with having too many accounts in the same household, suspicion of using a bot to run SBTV or them suspecting this. As others have suggested, you need to at least make an effort to find out before writing them off to everyone.Minimalist
