Hey anyone else completed a dashboard survey about Unilever and the light project about food poverty - is Opinion Bar web survey. I completed it all but went all funny at the end and no sb awarded. Anyone have the details so I can submit yet another ticket?, cheers

They should be able to see your account movements - do you remember how much SB was it worth ? just put a ticket

this has to be on the worse points day, I havent even reached 1st target of 80, stumbling with 45 points, just seems not suitable for any survey! xx

40 SB - 'Random' Encrave - cuts off @ 40 SB (Took me exactly 1 hour)

12 SB - 4 x 'Music' Encrave - cuts off @ 12 SB (Takes about an hour but you can put on discovery mode so just check it every 15 mins)

Note: Encrave - starts at 8.05am and stops at 10.50am so if you want all 40+12 - start early)

10 Sb - 5 x 2 Play "Flip Out" Just start it, don't play and then leave it to finish - repeat 10 times.

    4 SB - Daily toolbar/Noso/Daily Poll

15 SB - 5 x set of 10 videos - takes about 5 mins per set if you jump to next as soon as it ticks off) - you can get up to 150 SB a day doing this if you are really stuck.

TOTAL 81 SB and no messing around with surveys or waiting for searches however:

~20 SB - On top of that you can get a few search wins but its hit and miss - normally you get one in the morning, one after lunch and one late evening but it varies - sometimes you get one big one.

Do you have a smart phone?

36 SB - iphone (you can do two apps currently)
    ~or~
72 SB - android (you can do 4 apps currently)

The trick is to try and do the above in parallel as much as possible and take advantage of passive earnings (like the apps and discovery mode where you don't have to constantly monitor) and best still if you can do the above on a laptop whilst semi watching trash TV etc.

This way you'll easily get your daily first target (and more if you have the apps) with little stress and then have the rest of the day to do other things ;)

when doing the encrave, remember to click the odd advert... even if just a couple during the run ... it's what pays for them and we don't want to loose them this time do we ?

[Off Topic - Merlin139 - I'm just buying a new build house which the builder has stuck a 1.2kwh (6 panels) solar system in. Its west facing so not going to be totally efficient but what do you think would be a ball park figure on how much it would make in say a day/week/month etc and can you choose any electricity company to feed it back into or are you required to choose only certain ones to get your gas/elec? I really have no idea - just glad its been added to the house and I have not had to pay for it :-)

    thanks]

There is a separate thread for discussing solar panels, please have your discussion there or via PM. This thread is for discussing Swagbucks only. Thanks.

hi Sorry - you are quite right - I will have a search around regarding solar panels.

However, whilst we are on the subject of what makes a relevant swagbucks post or not - it brings up a bugbear of mine - do you think the constant posting of string searches, the amount of swagbucks they got and the amount of times they have won searches today is actually a good use of this forum?

    1. It misleading for newbies as they think if they search same term they will also guarantee themselves a win - which it doesn't. If it ever does it is simply a coincidence. I think we all agree on that.

    2. At best its pointless, the actual term searched can be anything at all as long as its a proper word. The algorithm for search wins is based on how much you have already won that day and the time of the search. The actual subject of the search is irrelevant.

    3. At worst its simply boasting - "look at me I've won 8 SB and this is the second time today!" - how is that helping anyone? Rubbing peoples noses in it more like. Also I notice that people are being thanked for these 'useful posts'! ?

I've heard people before justify all these by saying it gives people 'inspiration'. Maybe if they won a 40 SB search that might be worth mentioning as its out of the ordinary....

...but who really needs inspiration? The first week I searched simply by putting in '11' and then refreshed that a few times throughout the day until I won. I then replaced that with '22' and then '33'. It worked exactly the same way as someone's inspirational sentence.

If anyone really is having a blank try picking up the dictionary and just going through it one word at a time until you get a search win. It should last you pretty much until you stop using swagbucks. Write the word followed by 'definition' if people are more comfortable writing a valid sentence. Or google 1000 best songs of all time - and cut and paste in each one - again it will last years - no need for inspiration ;)

Honestly, I really like this forum and have found some really useful posts but I'd say you could cut 10,000's of posts out if people just stopped doing this - which would make it soooooo much more easy to scroll through each day and find the truley useful stuff.

Sorry if this comes across as mean, 'humbug' but I'm sure I'm not alone on this (an anonymous poll would be interesting) - most of the posts are simply a search string, amount and number of times won - where's the fun in that (before someone posts "we are just having a bit of fun")?
