Just got a 171SB survey on contraception on my dashboard. Quite a high payer. There is another reasonable payer there too, so maybe check yours?Minimalist

one other quick question on this.
I know a lot of people spend time searching for and printing out internet coupons for their shopping without taking into consideration the costs of actually printing (ink + paper)
This is a huge thread so it may have been touched on before but has anyone actually worked out the cost of running a laptop all day to actually get these swagbucks?
I mean I've just sat here all day (working from home) on one laptop and have had the other next to me just running the SBTV and the radio (muted) all day + the occasional other offer and 10xgame. I reckon all day I might make around 100 SB or 50p which adds up over time for doing hardly anything....
...but it has literally just occurred to me that I may have spent a lot more than 50p on electricity running my other laptop for the past 8 hours to do it.
Has anyone actually worked out if this is actually cost effective or not?
(Notes: I could run it in the background of work laptop but it would be distracting, memory hungry and frankly would rather not. Also internet is unlimited so there is no extra cost to do loads of streaming)0 -
I've read the whole thread so can tell you nope, I don't recall anyone has actually done some maths calculations on the costs / benefit analysis of electricity etc.
For me, I do this on my work pc, and print stuff on work printer, so it's all fine and dandy for me!
As I personally earn £50 a month, would this not outweigh the electricity costs?0 -

£50 a month is certainly worth it and if you can use work resources then even better - although how you are making so much money without it distracting you from your actual job is beyond me judging by how much of my time was spent today just keep pressing a button every x minutes to get 50p - and thats not taking surveys which builds up the bucks much quicker but which would actually stop me working completely0 -
Hmm whilst I am certain that I could do more work without SB, I'm hitting my targets and that's all my boss cares
I don't really click SBTV all day...only when I have a spare moment.
You can also do surveys on lunchDoes anyone really have the requisite concentration to do work continuously for 8 hours a day in an office?

What's your kWh rate from your energy supplier? (mines about 10.6p ker kWh from the top of my head)
1kwh is 1000 watts for one hour, I doubt a laptop takes much, a few hundred of watts per hour would be the absolute tops it's probably lessDon't take life too seriously, no one gets out alive0 -
Absolutely fuming!!! I've done a Dashboard survey (15 minutes in) and a PL survey (10 minutes in) and been told on both occasions I don't fit the criteria. Surely you knew before I got to that stage ... and both were the most boring surveys ever :mad:0
