Good morning all, a a happy new year to all
Jacksmummy I am glad I am not the only one who let's the new year in. My dh thought I was mad the first time he saw me do it, now he just goes to the back door to let the old year out.
Stayed up to see the new year in and had a few drinks so feeling a bit tender this morning.
No housework to do today as yesterday I blitzed the whole house.
Dinner tonight is sausage pasta bake according to or menu planner.
Wondering what time dd will be home today. It was her first time out with friends and no doubt she had a few drinks.
Anyhoo time to walk the dogs as they are sitting here giving me the big brown eyes and don't you love us look.
So hugs to all xxBright Blessings xx0 -
Good Morning and Happy New Year everyone
Been MIA again but hey its a new year :rotfl:
Didnt do anything major last night, normally I am asleep by 12 but last night was still awake :T think mainly due to the fireworks.
Today we usually go to Chinatown but the weather forcast is awful and there are loads of road closures as there is a New Years Parade so instead are going to pop out to a restaurant locally and have a lazy day. DS is off to watch football with his cousin.
I do sort of make resolutions but these are generally things that need to happen - stop spending so much, be more organised etc. Have also decided to get back into photography as a hobby and spend more time walking the dog. We live in a lovely area and need to appreciate it more.
As we are having lunch out dinner will be picky bits - so nice and easy.
Have a great day all & hope you feel better Mrs MH x0 -
Hope you feel better soon, mrs MH.
Happy New Year everyone.
I won't be starting it as I mean to go on as I want to be more productive this year, but can't see me getting much done today - I was up till after 3am waiting for eldest to get home (much later than agreed, and not in the way we agreed either - a group of them ended up walking home)
I'm absolutely shattered this morning - I really struggle with late nights now - I'm also disappointed that he didn't text me to say/ask that he'd be leaving later than planned; I know he's almost 18, but that doesn't stop me worrying about him, as he well knows, and it only takes a minute to text me about a change of plans.
Oh well, I'm not going to get into an argument with him to start the Year off, so I'll keep quiet - for now.
If he surfaces in time, He, OH and youngest are off to footie.
I'll probably find an old film to watch while they're out.
Stir Fry or Steak for tea - not sure which, yet.
Don't usually do resolutions but I need to this year - I want to stop drifting through each year and actually do something to make it count so I'll be writing down some goals.
Looking forward to the return of Sherlock tonight.
Have a good day everyone x0 -
Happy New Year Everyone,
Hope its a peaceful and prosperous and healthy 2014
We will put the decorations away this morning and then hoping for a quiet day pottering. I want to begin a new crochet project while it's quiet.
I'm feeling quite organised. We've also done a sealed pot and I've joined the make £10 a day challenge. Really hoping to make great leaps forward financially this year.
I am determined to weigh a lot less this year and get fit, that's kind of on hold until after Monday when I get my new knee:eek:
yvieblue my almost 18 year old did exactly the same thing Grrrr will be having a little nap later
It's wet and windy here so shall stay indoors. Have a great day xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Good Morning all and a Happy New Year!
mrs Mh, sorry that you are feeling ill, hooe you feel better soon.
I am like so many of you, determined to make this year count, rather than drift along. I have to be realistic though and not get too carried away as my head is willing but my body and sometimes brain cannot keep up! To start with I am limiting myself to four threads on this forum as any more I get confused and forget where I post!!
i too am waiting for my A5 page a day diary to arrive, and this is where I am going to keep a record of my menu plans, weight, blood pressure stats, finances etc.
Another wet and windy day, ugh! Currently sat in bed, but will get up shortly. i need to remember to bag up some chopped onion that is currently being open freezed, and then i need to do a lot more freezing of onions and peppers so that they don't go to waste.
Dinner tonight is pigs in blankets toad in the hole, so nice and simple.
Hope you all have a nice day.
Hugs to those who are feeling unwell, struggling.

Happy New Year Everyone. This is my first post. I've lurked a lot in 2013 and now is the time to join.
I am a mother of 3 (7,5 and 4) and have pets and live the country. I work part time in a professional role where signifcant overtime is the norm. Over the past few years, I have found myself spending and accumulating to ridiculous proportions.
I made a start this week and sorted out 10 sacks of baby clothes. I've given away as much as I can to people locally, will freecycle the rest. I've picked some expensive items to sell (not old style - ebay I'm afraid). I also reused items - eg tiny baby clothes for my daughter's doll. I've saved large pieces of fabric for craft projects.
I aim to save spare change and at least £1 a day. I also need to get the house in order before we drown under the sea of stuff.
I look forward to getting to know you.0 -
Morning all,
I need matchsticks to keep my eyes open today. I drank too much coffee at bedtime last night and at 2am I hadn't shut my eyes. Then my Grandson woke up at 4.30. He didn't want attention but I could hear him cooing in his cot. Well there was no point in going back to sleep if he was going to cry out so I lay there for what seemed like absolute ages to see what he was going to do. He went back to sleep. He woke again at 8.30 so I got up.
I now understand why a woman has the menopause. I'm shattered! Apparently Milliedog aka Milster got up for a wee at 3am but I slept through her bark leaving hubby to see to her. Amazing how quick my eyes opened when I heard my Grandson but I didn't hear my dog.
Anyway, he's been fed, washed, changed and is now fast asleep again. When he wakes up we will take him back to his Mummy who is missing him badly. She spent all night messaging me and I sent her a few pictures.
Weather is wet and wild today. Hubby is going to get soaked packing the car up. Still, as long as the little one (and me ) keep dry.:rotfl:
Not sure what we are having for tea tonight. I'll think about that later.
Welcome Gwendolyn. Good to have you aboard.

Morning
Late night for me but no hangovers so that's a positive
Weather absolutely vile here. Got soaked walking Luna, wind very strong in exposed parts over local fields
Hubby has put Christmas tree down, other decorations were done a few days ago.
Fasting today, body really needs it because aside from the fact I can tell I've put weight onI feel uncomfortable and bloated. A sure sign I've overdone the festive food
:o:o
Not other news, stay safe and warm xx
Hugs and spoons all round xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hello all. Happy New Year.
No big celebrations here. We watched the fireworks on TV, mocked Barlow for the media wh*re he has become and then went to bed.
Hubby and DS1 are at the cinema this afternoon watching The Hobbit. DS2 and I are having a lazy one at home.
Either spaghetti Bol or steak pie tonight, I can't decide. One will be tonight, the other tomorrow.
Looking forward to Sherlock too. I did my nurse training at Barts. We never had anything as exciting as Sherlock and Moriarty on the roof then!
Job for today is to buy a calendar. I can't believe I forgot.0
