Lucky you being off bufster - enjoy!Happy holidays:T Hurrayyyyy, it's summer!!
thanks ladies XX am very happy about itApologies if this is annoying!
Well, my headache went cos I put the guinea pigs in the run and did some gardening.
I thinking whilst gardening, pondering the world's problems. There isn't much I can do really. I might see if there is a demonstration to go on
However what I can try to do is do good when I can? I know that sounds naff! But really it would be lovely wouldn't it? If everyone did it.
Watching the Commonwealth games - I know people found it a bit daft but with everything that is happening in Palestine, Syria and the Ukraine plus a half a dozen or more other places I was glad to see countries who's pasts have been difficult(!) coming to compete together. We really need to hang on to the good things.
I surprised myself tonight, was quite touched by the Queen's appearance. I have been a republican for ever but in recent years with crappy politicians and violence seeming to be the norm I am glad she is there giving some impression of security and identity.
God anyone would think I was drunk! haven't touched a drop!
I was so pleased with the gardeningDefinitely entering middle age here! I planted mini roses and lavender. I already have honeysuckle and big roses. Am expecting Miss Marple any second!
Two overall aims for the holidays
1. Be good
2. don't waste a day
so sleepy

I know exactly what you mean Buffy. I was listening to Chris Evans yesterday and he had rabbi Julia on giving her thoughts. She was talking in a similar vein to you. She didn't skirt over the big bad things but made the point that there is also a lot of good in the world and we need to recognise that too. Btw, am totally with you where the queen is concerned. Am not a fan of royalty but I have to admire the commitment and grace that she brings to what she does. So glad you don't both think I am nuts, well you might do but you don't mindI just love the garden and last few days have been so horribly depressing, there really isn't anything to be done aside from try to be positive.
so am on holiday and the sun is shining. I am going to cook Mum breakfast and then get myself together to go to my new place to drop off some documents.
and then it is come home clean out small furries, have a general tidying and then go out to dinner.
Am so hungry this morning!

Hi buffy! I keep trying to force myself to like gardening but it's not happening! I like to sit in the garden though with a glass of wine/cup of coffee and a good book does that count? Glad you were offensive to the ex - he deserves it! Happy holidays!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

*irritating showy off post coming up*
I closed my nationwide accounts and paid the money in my Halifax account. Came home and opened an ISA!
I have moved 1000 pounds. an actual whole 1000 thousand pounds into my Isa. WOW .
and I have 500 in my emergency fund.
and 212 for Christmas
200 for dogs (took 50 quid for vet bill)
250 for Mot (due in August)
and I have paid for my two weekends away plus made a 200 pound payment to Tesco card.
I feel like I have got to a stage up the money mountain. I have SAVINGS. proper savings.
Of course I still have 3780 in debts. but that is 0% till Feb 2016.
weird feeling.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -
I know. I opened my first isa just over a week ago and kinda feel like a grown up nowMortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 11st 12lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. Exactly!
I mean I had an Isa last year, never used it, opened a new one in April and never used it as it was hard to make deposits. In the end I went for a fairly crap deal (1.5%) but I could make deposits on line.
At least that way money might make it in there!
In other news I have caught up with a couple of friends and had a some nice meals out. Will have to reign in the spending though as having done the above I am now a little tight for the holidays. But have so much to do it on the house that aside from things I have already paid for I am not planning to do much else.
SO plans for today, not spending any money. not leaving the house
1. tidying room and chucking stuff. (end of bed dumping ground specifically)
2. cleaning out rest of small furries (already done piggies)
3. investigating the shed. measuring up for the move.
4. sorting out school work.
5. a nap(!)
there was more. but have forgotten what I was going to write.
