Budget Tablet for my Mum?

Hi

It's my mum's 53rd Birthday and I'm looking to get her a tablet.

Her eyes aren't what they used to be so 7" won't be ideal.

She will use to surf, watch catch up tv and listen to music (mainly 70s stuff :D)

Any pointers? Is one for around £100 possible?

    Quick answer , No.

The £100 was the base mark for 7 inch
Within the last hour have ordered a Hudi ( tesco ) my choice , paid £82 plus vouchers , so the standard price , for a standard tablet , 7 inch is still 20 % more than you are looking for.
Checking out ebay , there are cheaper 10 inch models, but are they worth it???

My brother suggested ebay (or scambay as some people may say)...

She may have to have a 7 inch then (and use her glasses )

Well , if its now the 7 inch ( and glasses ) you have a much better choice.
Kindle Fire /Galaxy if you can find a deal , but both have been below £100 recently

Never said it was impossible, but is it wise?

That would be an absolutely brilliant find but I think its a mix up error by Debenhams, for one its too cheap and secondly the detailed specifications match the Archos Cobalt 70 7" tablet not the Cobalt 97, the price would be about right for the 70.

I suspect a lot of people ordering this will be disappointed when a small tablet arrives and be taking it back for a refund... sorry!

Apparently DebenhamsPlus have confirmed it is the Cobalt. This is from HDUK:
Its definitely a 9.7". I emailed Debenhams regarding the conflicting info and they have replied confirming that its definitely a 9.7". See below:
Thank you for your emessage regarding the Archos 97 Cobalt, 502528 and bringing to our attention the descrepancies on the website, which I have asked our team to update.
We are pleased to confirm the product is indeed the Archos 97 Cobalt whihc is a 9.7 inch screen. This product does have wifi and might we suggest consideration of the pocket router http://www.debenhamsplus.com/DE_TP_Link_Networking___Routers_20016671/version.asp to ensure strength of signal whereever you go.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need anything additional.
    Kind Regards
    Karen

That is exceptional then!!! decent 1.6GHZ dual core, quad graphics chips, 1GB RAM, decent enough screen and a well known brand.
