Poppy, that is what I am trying to do too, I have had a bad habit in the past of opening something, using for a while and then starting something else, also I have pretty much stopped bargain things just because they were a bargain:o, nowadays if it is a bargain and I really love it I'll get it, but not if it is just so so.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. I have used up one of our liquid hand soaps from the bathroom and bought a new one to replace it as its the cola bottle smelling one which is lovely! I have cleaned out the used up one and put a hand lotion in it instead to try and remind me to use it up a bit quicker!
I have another liquid hand soap that will be finished soon in our downstairs bathroom, could I fill it with bubble bath to wash our hands with instead? I have a 1000ml bottle of bubble bath from Avon that I dont really like the smell of too much but it would be fine to wash our hands if that would work?!
Yes, go ahead and use the bubble bath, shower gel, bath soak all detergent based and will do the job nicely.:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
poppy_f1 and maddiemay - SNAP! This is my problem!
I have millions of half used things. Body lotions is my worst.
Have some spluttering shampoo and conditioner. I love it but it contains wash in wash out hair dye and is for brunette, I am brunette but use lush henna so it's a bit iffy if I should use it or not, but my roots are showing so trying to use it up before I stock up on henna
xI hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....0 -

I'd say yes so long as you don't have sensitive skin on your hands. I do suffer with sensitivity on my hands so not sure this would work for me.
Will there be a Feb challenge? I need to make a list of all my toiletries!
Oh yes, we will all be back. Make your list and let us ogle it! xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Parisian - I have the Raspberry Glazed shower gel and it is so gorgeous, it is more than just raspberry scented it is so warming and sweet.
I know what you mean, I had a bit of an urge to eat some
Some UU this month:
1. Essential Nuance Airy Shampoo 500ml - previous HG which I burnt out by overstocking and becoming bored (mainly because it is not available readily in the UK). 1 more in stash to use - would recommend but probably wouldn't buy again soon as I'm bored with it after using for about 3 years now!
2. Philip Kingsley Body Building Shampoo 250ml - effective in volumising, WBA and have a 500ml in stash to crack open
3. Bio Oil 200ml - used this up as a body moisturiser as it was a couple of years old, wmba a smaller bottle for use on face in winter months in the future
4. Liz Earle Energising Body Wash 200ml - a bit drying, but nice scent - PWNBA as I don't see too much difference with it compared with cheaper options
5. Right Guard Shower Oils Women + 200ml - WDBA, fabulous shower gel
6. Nuxe Micellar Water with Rose Petals 35ml - WBA, a good remover with lovely rose scent - I prefer Bioderma though, although this is more readily available and often available with good offers
7. Sanctuary Spa Daily Body Scrub 200ml - WPNBA, prefer something more scrubby to be used a couple of times a week instead of less scrubby for daily use
8. Ultradex Low Abrasion Toothpaste 75ml - WMBA, although quite expensive at £6

One UU, the Superdriug Vitamin E cuticle oil. WBA. Cheap and was very easy to use as part of my bedtime routine. Boyfriend liked it to and would close his eyes and pretend our pet rabbits were grooming his hands! (is that weird?)No more goo hoarding!

Seem to be going the wrong way with this challenge - another 2 INs!
- Botanics All Bright Eye Gel - technically have 2 eye gels/lotions in the stash already but they're 100 miles away for the next month
- Botanics All Bright Facial Scrub - not short of scrubs either as stocked up on LOreal ones in a BOGOF before Christmas! However, the eye gel was £9 or 2 items for £6, so I'm claiming that this facial scrub cost me minus three quid and was therefore worth every penny! (I don't think I'm buying any less toiletries atm, just coming up with more excuses...)
Plan for Feb is to use up:
- Good Things Deep Pore toner
- N-Spa Brightening Day cream
- Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Serum
- Garnier Intensive Hydrating Lotion
- TBS Cranberry Shower Gel
Nice short list to get started with, then will be moving at end of the month with a bit less clutter in my toiletries bag ready to start properly on the stash at home!New graduate trying to get debt-free.
Make £5/day challenge: August £84.08/155
I owe £5400 (plus £34,000 Student Finance)

Kheils(sp??!) Have a really good one that is factor 50, I think they had a 30 too, best thing is its not greasy, that is on my wishlist atm.
Ooh, we have a Space NK Apothecary here and I know they do Kiehl's, I might go and have a peep in there, see if the ole plastic can avoid a battering
TA #5: Nars Blush in Albatross 4.5g;I dropped this into the bathroom sink this morning and the powder shattered into a billion pieces, most of them going down the plughole. If I'm being perfecty honest, I haven't used it much since I bought MAC MSF in Soft & Gentle but still, I am very  at myself for breaking it.
Big sigh, this just about sums my week up. Ne'er mnd, eh?0 -

just happened to be on Benefit site and needed some porefessional primer ....well they had a boxing day set which was supposed to save you lots of money(I forget figures!)and another set of stuff in the sale plus a free mini porefessional and two free samples and free post......what could I do??????
in my defence I did need the primer and will probably sell 2/3 of the second set stuff (it does work out cheaper than buying the full size individual ones honest
this really has to be the end tho as we approach frugal February!
today is my treat day,a two hour Elemis treatment(facial/massage)mostly bought with Christmas vouchers off DH
am also going to the dentist.......tho he is very dishy! and getting my hair cut plus a free conditioning massage this week
:)
massage/facial was divine and I fell asleep so very relaxed
of course I then "had" to buy some elemis stuff that was in the sale, some melt gel cleanser and serum....which was the one the therapist used on me but def def not buying anything at all in feb!!!
fingers crossed for dentist tomorrow0
