Gosh that's a good price. But I have two of them, so don't need another at the moment.
The bike is Comprehensive insurance. But it will mess up his no claims and the new premium he's just been offered. We will see what the costs are first. The bike was taken away this afternoon.
DS has had to loose today's work. Taxi for him to go to work and back was quoted at £90!!! Rediculous price.
The GF is going to ask her Mum if they can stay at hers while bike is off road, as it's nearer his work.
She is not very reliable at the moment with the morning sickness.
One of my customers/friend came in today to check up on me. She stopped to help me by tagging some of the baby clothes etc
I got several deliveries but didn't have a chance to open them. I'm not feeling very well, struggled to do jobs today, took me a lot longer. Had/have a splitting headache and got slower and slower.
Got home after collecting DGD and I was sick.
Took DS and GF home, and back now. As soon as DGD has finished her supper, it's bed for the both of us.
I hope I feel better tomorrow!
There are lots of jobs still need to be done.
Plenty of jobs were collected today, and more left to be done. Loads of enquiries too.
Sold one of my retrend jackets and a t shirt too.
Made a thermal bag, bar stuffing it. That will have to wait till tomorrow now, as I am done in.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I am not well, took the decision to close and come home. Cancelled tomorrow's lessons, and contacted as many people as possible to tell them about closing, etc came home and went back to bed.
Headache is really crippling and paracetamol is not touching it.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Mooloo, I have to say I was frightened this would happen. I know you want to make a success of the business, but you will have to pace yourself.
You have so many other things going on in your life and also looking after DGD.
Try to rest over the weekend, regain your strength and remember the word everyone keeps reminding you of NO.
I hope you feel better after a good nights sleep

Well lucky that everyone was contacted, and they understood.
I didn't plan on getting ill after all.
I realise it's not good! It wasn't a choice I made lightly. Do I throw up over customers? Do I ruin a jacket because I can't concerntrate? I think not.
If my business is damaged then it is damaged, but I believe most will understand that as a one man band, I am only human.
If I feel better tomorrow I will go in.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Perhaps the be kind to Newbies should also be a two way street?
Or is my back just up because I'm not feeling very well?
I hope so, as I'm not usually feeling angry at a post. Usually water off a ducks back if I get a negative remark. I know that not everyone will be my friend, but do feel as a newbie, you haven't a clue about me, my life or my health. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I agree Mooloo - possibly a regular poster who has created an 'alter ego' just to say that ! As you say we are all human and sometimes 'Unforseen circumstances' crop up. Look after yourself Mooloo and hope you feel better soon. XxNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Hope you feel better soon. I do think you may need to consider reduce hrs though - you are in danger of crash and burn.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
I enjoy the work, and the time flies by. I have reduced the hours on Wednesday. I'm going to get some help in the shop, just working out which times are needed the most. I will get used to the extra work, I've been open for a month now. Which is the first full time work since my illness in 2008. It's bound to have been difficult.
I had no idea that the response to the shop would be so good, so fast.
Family stresses aside, hasn't helped, but also not why I'm unwell. The lady in the shop next door was also feeling the same. But she has staff who can take over.
If the newbie is a regular hiding behind a new name, then they must be ashamed of how they were responding, if they had to hide behind a new persona.
Never mind. I can't please everyone. Nor do I begin to try. I am me, warts and all.
Today I am ill. I'm going back to bed as soon as DGD does.
Tomorrow is her 7th Birthday, her Party is Sunday. So I don't want to be ill!
Did I want to cancel work? No I didn't. I am well aware of the customers feed back. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I'm a lurker of your thread but read it for updates.
The poster is right, you will get some people that think that way and being a sole trader it's something you need to accept.
But the majority don't mind one bit and as a customer the fact you rang would have spoke volumes to me about your customer service. I've just trailed miles on crutches to an appointment to have it cancelled and I'm annoyed as they didn't ring to save me a journey but I will still use them, it's a minor annoyance not a strop!
Don't let it worry you, any customer that doesn't understand would be the ones who complained about everything anyway.
Don't burn yourself out, take echinacea and vitamin c and put yourself right. Wishing you luck in your new venture and when you have time I'd love some curtains made please.0 -
There was one lady who I knew needed her dress for tomorrow. I left her dress with next door to be collected. I left a message on the shop door as I didn't have her contact number. I then found her on Facebook and messaged her. So she can collect her dress ready for her do in the evening.
All jobs that were needed had been done, I even contacted Those due on Monday to warn it may be Tuesday, but that I would ring as soon as done, to save them a wasted trip.
I don't think I could have done much more? When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0
