Would I be able to merge my Luma card (owned/managed by Capital One) with my new Capital One credit card account? I know have 2 logins on the capital one website when I'd rather just have one for both. Is it possible to merge the two online aco!!!!s? ( I was able to do that with my T-mobile online account and my 2 T-mobile contracts...)

I'm in the same situation, it would be useful for the iphone app as well to be able to see both accounts at once. Two cards, one provider-a no-brainer as the kids today say"Can't you have your ***** cut off ?" "It's not as simple as that, Nigel"

I rang them up and asked if this was possible and I was told that they couldn't do this due to data protection.
Makes no sense to me as they are both Capital One cards accessed through the same website.0 -
Maybe they mean that the data is kept separately so whilst they can determine which server to connect to based on your login, they can't easily combine two logins in the same session as it would mean one server accessing the other servers data.0

they won't do this, unfortunately.0

While Capital One issue/run the Luma card, they actually do it on behalf of the Media Ingenuity Group - so you are actually their customer not Capital One's.
The same group also own the 'Fluid' and 'Granite' brand credit cards which are issued with MBNA and Provident Financial Group (Vanquis) respectively.
Having said that, MBNA used to manage it on their website with their branded cards (i.e. Amazon and Virgin Money) under one login.
However, I suspect Capital One just don't have that functionally - even if you have two 'proper' Capital One cards (not just managed by them) - as I used to have.

So they won't merge Luma and a CapitalOne card, but will CapitalOne merge two CapitalOne branded cards, i.e. classic extra and progress?
I've got £500 on Classic Extra and £800 on Progress. Would be handy to have £1300 on Classic Extra.0 -

I don't think so as the interest rates are probably different, but you could ask them?0 -
Yes they will merge two capital one cards into one. Got the letter this morning offering me it.
I have a capital one classic which I've had for about a year and a half and despite me paying every single month in full without fail my credit limit is still at £200.
I applied for capital one progress card in January and got it with £1000 limit.
The letter states that the APR will stay the same on the card I choose to keep.
Is there any negatives to doing this? Does anyone know how it will change on credit file, will it show as merged or that one has been closed and the other has a limit increase? This thread has me so pumped, I headbutted my dog and we both screamed.0 -

I suggest you contact them if the letter does not make it clear what they are proposing.
(If I had to guess, I would say they will close the one account and increase the credit limit on the other because of this:
"The letter states that the APR will stay the same on the card I choose to keep")0
