but open your own thread in any case, not hijack those made by other members, show some respect etc , their topic may not even relate to your own and advice is usually different in each case

hi, best advice would be to read the newbie section, and in my case i contacted the manager of the shop i was at while parked who agreed to cancel the pcn, other than that follow advice in newbie section, and as the exp members have stated pls open your own thread.

There are loads of examples of McDonalds local managers cancelling these PCNs when people complain. All recent ones are collated in the 'Successful Complaints about PPCs' sticky thread which newbies should also read as well as the 'Newbies read this first!' sticky.

Well done for going for the 'complain to the Shop Manager' option nice and early, I will add your thread to the sticky thread about complaints now! :)

Just in case the McDonald's Manager forgets to contact UKPC(!) you might like to cover your back by writing a quick email or letter to UKPC stating that:

    'Dear UKPC
PCN Ref xxxxxxxx Vehicle reg xxxxxxx
I am the registered keeper and this charge has been cancelled by the McDonalds Manager on 31st December, as the driver was working on site at the time. If UKPC disagree, send me a POPLA code and I will cheerfully beat you at POPLA anyway as the charge was not a genuine pre-estimate of loss.

    Happy New Year!

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
