Removing Iminent

Hi,
I am trying to remove Iminent s/w from a laptop running Windows 7.
I have gone into programs and uninstalled the Iminent toolbar.
I could not uninstall Iminent as I got the message "You are not connected to the internet" even though I was.
I installed Adw Cleaner to clean up any items and after doing that Imiment disappeared from the list of Programs.
The defaults on Internet Explorer were then reset.
However, when using Internet Explorer, advertisements are still popping up all over the place.
What else can I try to remove it?
Thanks in advance.

Go on to IE, click the cog icon and Manage add-ons.
See if it is listed as a toolbar or extension, then disable and remove it.0 -
It's a toolbar virus. Use RogueKiller to get rid of it http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/roguekiller.html
Wait until it auto scans 1st, then run a scan and delete any nasties.
Use Erunt to back up your registry 1st http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/0 -
Install CCleaner, run the cleaner and reg cleaner (for the sake of it) but mainly check your start-up items and remove anything suspicious then restart.0
