BMW body work
All,
I have recently hit the pole and scratched my 10 year old BMW 525i.
Its a deep scratch on the rear passenger side.
I went to body shop today and was told it will cost £350 to fix it. When I told my husband he wasnt happy to pay £350 to fix the depreciating asset. Also he said that it is 10% of car present value so it will be waste of money. Im not sure whether to go and get it fixed or leave it as it is. We dont have immediate plan for selling the car. Any valuable money saving suggestion will help?
Thanks,
Vidhya

Go to a local independent garage and ask them if they can recommend a body shop.1. Have you tried to Google the answer?

Well, you've to look at it in the meantime, and it'll be worth £350 less when you come to sell it because of the scratch, perhaps more as people will think its been neglected.
Personally, i would get it done.0 -
I'd fix it too.0

Don't bother with anything more than a SMART fix on it. £350 is more like a quarter of its value.0

Depending on the size of the damage you could consider a local SMART repair company
They deal with more minor damage and can be cheaper than painting the entire panel0
