Treated myself to new yoghurt maker as accidently got rid of mine, I had two old bell ones and in a decluttering frenzy decided to get rid of one, only later realised I had in fact put both in the CS pile and it had been collected. Was gutted and really mad with myself, signs of old age, terrible memory :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway I now have a new one and am considering using fresh milk instead of UHT as it would work out about half the price, yogurts cost 7p instead of 12p.
So spend of 50p for pot of yogurt to start and £1 on 4pts milk
so I am set to go.Slimming World at target0 -
Hi all,
Well an unplanned spend in Sainsbos today, bought Sausages which will get eaten, some bulgar wheat and quinoa to try as an alternative to pasta and a few other bits. Spent £10.13 on food and £3.26 on some dummies for DD2 but ive allocated the dummy spend to the spending catergory of my budget.
Anywho, total spend so far to date is £226.53/£400 after todays spend and £42 at tesco on baby milk, bin bags, a big box of washing powder and some essentials.
17 days until end of the month, i have £173.47 in my GC budget so £10.20 a day - Plenty

Another NSD :T
Had porridge for breakfast, corned beef sandwich for dinner and made a beef pie with loads of veg in for tea. Hubby was well happy!
There's enough left for tomorrow's tea as well!
I bottled up the chutney I made, it has been in a big bowl in the fridge, and it tastes lovely. It gets better the longer you keep it.
Hope everyone is well and managing to stick to their budgetsA family that eats together, stays together

NSD today. I've got £81.92 left to last the month which should be doable as we are away from Thursday to Sunday (different budget) which will just leave 10 days to go til the end of the month. Tomorrow's tea is going to be butternut squash and pearl barley risotto which I haven't cooked before so fingers crossed it will turn out ok0

Froze 3 portions of lobby (beef stew type dish) today and have another 3 portions left so will take mum one down tomorrow and we will have the rest for lunch.
Made a Lamb rogan josh but did cheat a little and used a jar of sauce on offer cost £1
Added to it a stick of celery, onions, mushrooms, red pepper, some cooked potatoes, and 5 cherry tomatoes that needed using up. Would have put some broccoli in but didn't have any left.
Plenty left to go in freezer once its cooled am thinking at least 5 portions left and has cost less than £5 to make including rice and naan breads.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
NSD here and this is a triumph as it is DHs birthday and we would normally order a takeaway, however I am dieting and we are saving for our upcoming holiday so decided not to, DH got to choose tea and he picked cheesy beans on toast!!! Really good for us as takeaways used to be a big problem, not had one at all this year, going to try and keep this up:)0

I'm getting paid on Friday and have Asda vouchers for emergencies, so I'm declaring today
£184.23/£225!!!!
It's a MIRACLE!! My budget will be reducing to £200 for the coming month, so this gives me hope that it's actually achievable. I love this challenge, it's so inspiring to see what other people are doing and I'm already looking to meal plan for next week0 -
I have made veg cassarole with dumplings for dinner. Cost around £2.00 to make so a bargain.
Never done this challenge before but very proud of myself.
