    Hi all :)
I have a bit of query re: NSD'. Do you count a NSD as not spending money that counts towards the grocery challenge or a day of no spending whatsoever?
    Suze :)

I have separate budgets for different things eg. personal, car and wine budgets etc. This is Grocery Challenge so for us it is all money spent on food, drink, snacks, pack-ups, take-aways, cleaning and general toiletries. I count an NSD on here if not spent on any of these. Think it is up to you how you set the parameters. Hope that helps

I am starting from today and my first food shop was in Ald! where I have never been before - but am interested to see how we get on with it there.

The problem is that it is frozen solid and my fridge and freezers could never hold it even it was empty
    .

Put it in the coldest place you can find such as conservatory, shed, garage. Give it 4 hours a kg. Take out giblets as soon as possible. Check cavity free of ice crystals and cook as soon as defrosted. Hope you enjoy :)

I had a NSD today. Really pleased as managed to empty back-up freezer and defrost. Then switched back on and filled but now kitchen freezer EMPTY :j :j Fridge nearly empty so looking good for switching off for holiday Saturday.

Hope you all have a fantastic Friday

I have worked out what I want to spend over the year, with it being January. I am aiming for £4000 this year which is an average of £333 a month, so will lower my targets towards the last have of the year, anything under is a bonus, I would usually spend around £6000 a year. Hopefully next year my target will be £3500, will see how this year goes :) still having this month as £450 can alter the upcoming months if I spend under :) still at £0 and hopefully today will be another NSD, although I am going out of the hosue to pay the rent later (£450 :()

Spent £27.89 at Sainsbobs yesterday. Only needed fresh food and used up the last voucher they sent me. I now have extra Nector points but have no idea what I do with them?

Snap! We are having mushroom and spinach lasagne for tea too!

Hoping for a NSD. I was hoping the 4 pints of milk I bought yesterday lunchtime would last until Sunday when I get my food order. Thanks to my milk fiend DS1 we are already down to 1 pint left.... Will try to last to tomorrow at least.

Will also try to get to the allotment today and pull some more beetroot before we get a run of frosts.

    Have fun everyone. x
