Should I pay full price for this?

I test rode a bike at a local bike store and I want to buy it. The guy put my name on it and said it's on hold for me to pick up tomorrow. However it was the one that was in the window, meaning it's "demo/ex-display". I refuse to pay full price, and I'll demand they either build me one from scratch or knock money off.

You can demand all you like & the shop can sell the item for whatever price they like. The majority of people are more than happy to accept a display item if it is unmarked in anyway & it is the only one available & it's something that they want.
Demanding brings you very little in life & can make you very unpopular. Polite & reasonable people are valued much more in our societyThe bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

They will probably tell you to take a ride!
You can demand all you want, its up to the shop at the end of the day. Try your luck getting a discount, but dont be disappointed if they refuse.0 -
So, ask for a discount or don't buy it.

I didn't mean demand in a nasty way haha I meant ask. It's not the last they've got or anything, you can order them from the warehouse into the store and they build it free so I'm guessing they've still got a few. My point is I don't know how many other people have ridden it. If I have a problem with gears or the pedals or something they're not gonna accept that it's possible someone else caused itYou can demand all you like & the shop can sell the item for whatever price they like. Yeah it's unmarked and that, but there could be a problem with the chain or gears or shifters that rears its head after I've bought it. It's not the last one in store or anything like that. I'm happy to pay full price for a new item0 -
Then choose to wait for them to bring another one in if you have concerns.0

It's not my opinion of just this store, I wouldn't put it past any salesperson0 -

Am I right in saying the ex-demo/display model isn't "new" and asking for a new bike to be built to justify paying the retail price?0
