Living Social has got back to me but they're only offering a refund of "deal pounds" to be spent on their site!:mad: How do I get a real refund?0

To complicate things I've just received the umbrella, obviously sent after I complained! It's not fit for purpose now as it was for a Christmas present, how do I get a refund?0

I had similar problem with My Avarice. I bought three Living Social voucher for ladies leather watch on 30 November 2013. One for myself and two as a Christmas present for a friend and my sister. Vouchers were redeemed few days later. Mine and friend's watch arrived with no problem. The third one arrived faulty. My sister sent it back and received another faulty one. She sent it back again and never heard from them again. She sent them letter with the request to receive the watch and a complaint. She heard nothing from them again. It is June and she still has not got her Christmas present. I decided to contact My Avarice myself. It was 9 May 2014. They replied on 14 May 2014 apologising and asking for the address and the colour of the watch and they will send it ASAP.
I sent them requested details the same day. I'm still waiting for the watch. I contacted them few times after that and nothing.
Living Social is of no help as the voucher expired long time ago so they are no longer an agent for My Avarice. There is no chance to receive the refund...
The address given on My Avarice website and received in the email are different. The one on they website:

Surrey

The other received through the email:

I too purchased a voucher for the kimono umbrella and am being run around by Paypal and Living Social.
What can I do to get a refund, please?0 -
I ordered two of these umbrellas from Avarice at the end of October. i contacted Living Social today to complain about their non-arrival and they refunded the cost of the voucher straight away. However, I won't be getting back the £4.99 delivery costs.
What astounds me is that Living Social have clearly been having issues with this company for a year. Why are they still using them??!!0 -

what astounds me is why people still fall for this type of deal/scam. Remember, if it looks too good to be true it usually is.The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0
