Co-op has these on offer as of tomorrow. I was in today and noticed the display had no price so asked. Not sure of price however, but they are £2 odd normally in there full price.

I prefer Heinz but branston would be a close second & if they're much cheaper I will pick them.

I'll be totally honest with you. We used to have a preference too but when we were really hard up we started to buy tinned beans from Lidl. At first we noticed a slight difference in taste but we soon got over it and now we just buy the cheapest beans, own brand if necessary, from wherever we happen to be shopping.

We don't notice any difference in taste now at all and we save plenty of money by buying the cheapest.

We learned a lot of lessons like this when we were living on £50 a week. :)
    Why not phone/email them?

Or do as I said in post #8 - go to their Facebook page (link provided) and join the others who are asking for Branston beans.

I had them once I won a food basket in a slimming world raffle, I thought they were horrible. I would happily try cheaper brands, but not lidls!

May I ask why you wouldn't use Lidl's? Is it that you think there's something wrong with what they're selling? Maybe something which is different from supermarket own brands? :)

I've already said why, I won some in a raffle & I didn't like them.

Are you trying to suggest something? Put words in my mouth?

We all have different tastebuds you know.

Don't you know it's a near-criminal offence to dislike anything from Lidl or Aldi to some of the denizens of this forum?

I was simply asking why as I didn't see Mrs E post that information earlier, and I have been keeping tabs on the thread.

Is there any chance we could just have civil answers to civil questions please? I even put a smiley in so's you would know it was a friendly enquiry.
