We had that with a friend I haven't seen for ages , still sending presents through the post, so I text her asking if we could just do cards as our financial situation has taken a turn for the worse and she happily agreed saying her husband had been off work with an injury and they too were struggling , we ended up texting and chatting and having a catch up So all good . It may be worth asking them x
Did you suggest it after christmas or in the run up? I'm trying to find the most tactful time as BIL tends to get a bit grumpy about things!0 -
Im another still tucked up but really keeping out of the way.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Morning all
retro mother, Sistercas I did the same last year with all brothers and sis in laws, I have three! Well before Christmas and everyone was relieved, we have five kids and five grandchildren between us so really enough to buy for. My SIL even said she was glad I'd made the suggestion she had been wanting to say it for years. Good luck.
A quick tidy round this morning and then will nip to a huge Mr T's nearby as they do eyebrow threading and I want mine done. It's just difficult to see and pluck with my glasses on iykwim .
Also want a colour for my hair and a new brush, fancy a bit of pampering before I go in hospital.
This afternoon will be attempt number three at a crochet glasses case. Why can some of you produce such beautiful things and I can make the simplest thing, I'm rubbish:o but I shall keep trying.
Have a good day all xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning all!
DS has passed the morning digging the sealant out of the shower cabinet and resealing it. Not the neatest of jobs, he's his fathers son in that department! Hopefully that will solve the problem of the neighbour downstairs getting dripped on.
Need to get the ironing board out and do my uniforms, back to work tomorrow, and need to get something for dinner today and tomorrow, the fridge is finally clear of leftovers and needs filled!
Have a good day all.RIP Iain

Morning
Very hard frost this morning, had great fun breaking the ice on muddy puddles this morning. Luna is a bit daft and was standing on it, breaking it and then panicking. Didn't want her cutting her legs on the ice but really I just like breaking ice :rotfl:
Pottering day today, going to out away a few decorations, leaving tree up til new year. Want a bit of normality back
Roast chicken here for tea, got some parsnips that need using up.

Good.morning all.
Been a cold.start today. Didn't get half the jobs done yesterday that we didn't plan to do, but as its the holidays I don't mind.
Managed to get the control central board sorted for next year. And menu planned for Jan (pleased cause apart from some sausages we don't need anything ).
Dinner tonight will be something with mince, not sure what yet as its still Dec and I have run out of ideas lol.
Have a bit of ironing to do as the washing is now dry but apart from that I'm only catching up on a few jobs from yesterday.
Better get on so hugs to all who need xxBright Blessings xx0 -
Morning all,
Beautiful bright day here, got some washing on the line and another lot in the machine. OH gone to the boot sale and dd at her boyfriends so all quiet here.
I need to have a quick tidy round and do some spuds for dinner, which will be the last of the ham and some mash.
Little dog jumped on the bed last night and covered it in mud, so that will need changing today.
Might go for another walk later then sit and watch another film.
Have good days all xx0
