Nice little house Collingwood Avenue, Lliswerry, Newport

I'm originally from Newport myself.
The St Julians are of the city though I still call it a town.
You can live in one of the richest areas going yet if your neighbour is a nob your life can be made a misery. So I wouldn't too hooked up on the poor/rich area thing.
My parents lived in The pill area of Newport (brother still does). Some might turn their noses up at that area because of the large asian population. Having stayed there quite a lot I found that the asians tended to behave themselves.0 -
Gosh a year since I started this thread and looking at a move this year. I should pay my mortgage off this year and I am tempted to move to Cardiff area but rent somewhere and have a good look around for where to move/buy a house. I'm thinking of a studio flat until I get established.
I have my own business and will have an income when I move - it's an eBay business so I can go anywhere with it.
A few questions: Can anyone tell me of any car boot sales in South Wales and how big they are. I make good money buying and selling at car boots but we have two local ones that are large.
Also are there plenty of auction rooms in South Wales? Any company names so I can look them up on google?

If you want to be close to Newport/Cardiff and the borders, the Valleys would be an option but as many already mentioned, some rough areas and the market has become rather flat.
Have a look at postcodes NP26, NP44, NP19 and surrounding areas and depending if you don't mind an extra 20 minute drive, have a look at Lyndey/Blakeney which is just over the border into Gloucestershire from Chepstow on the A48.LBM 11/2009 Total Debts 11/2009 £44624 with DFD 2015
