TV switching on by itself at 7:am mystery?

At 7:00 this morning I was suddenly awakened by my wife saying that the postie had rung the doorbell and was at the door.
So I put on my dressing gown and went downstairs to open the door.
Going down the stairs I noticed that the outside light was on, PIR light, usually a sign that someone was at the door.
I opened the door and there was no one there. Not even the sound of a van driving away.
Then I noticed through the glass door of the lounge that the TV was on, displaying almost a blank screen with just the HDMI input visible in the corner.
The Sky+ box was, as expected at that time, to still be sleeping.
So either something triggered the outside light to come on and switched on the TV at the same time, which has a chime sound when it switches on and my wife mistook it for the doorbell, or she was dreaming.
The TV is a Sony Bravia 32 inch with a HD freeview tuner normally connected via HDMI to a Sky+ box.
Any suggestions as to why the TV would come on by itself?.
I have been through all the menus and settings and nothing says anything about the TV switching on at 7 am.

Does the TV have a timer in the menu/options, has someone (normally a meddling teenager bored one day!) programmed it to come on at a set time every day?:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Also if the TV is switched on when the Sky+ box is off it changes to a freeview channel.0 -

I doubt the TV and the PIR light being on are in any way connected.0 -
Maybe a power glitch, once the power was restored it reset your outdoor light and switched television on simultaneously.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

See if it happens again.
If it does than investigate further
If it does not than it might have been a one-off where you forgot to turn it off the night before.0
