HTC Desire battery lasts just a couple of minutes!
Hi all
I have an HTC Desire which I bought secondhand a year ago. The battery has never really lasted more than 48 hours. But now it seems to last for only 5 minutes of use. I could buy a battery from ebay for about £15, but would anyone trust these? (they do say 'genuine' HTC Desire battery). Or could it be something other than the battery, in which case Id be wasting my money buying a new battery for it.
Thanks for any advice.

I have bought batteries from Duracell Direct with confidence at - http://www.duracelldirect.co.uk
You will pay about the same price as your ebay quote and you can be sure that you will get a decent product as they are a specialist battery supplier with a good reputation in the trade.0 -
Anchor battery's are good .0

Can't be sure but your description of the battery life suggests that it's died and gone to battery heaven!
As you bought it second hand the phone's age and history was unknown to you so it sounds to me like the battery has just expired as you say it originally lasted 48 hours.0 -
wow - thanks for the fast response guys. Ill go buy one now.0

The key here is most battery suppliers are just that. Suppliers and not manufacturers.
Won't bore you but you may be surprised who makes certain Duracell badged items.
Of course the brand won't allow any old crap to go out with their name.
however if I tried to flog you an alternative brand many would turn their noses up.
That alternative being the same product.0 -
This seems reasonbly priced and gets good reviews.
