  • Morning :)

Sitting on bed basking in lovely winter sunshine :D
Hubby wants to tidy the garage and do a run to the tip. It beggars belief how one "room" requires soooooo much tidying. Maybe if stuff was put in an orderly manner and put back once it was used it might not be so untidy all the time.
Kids need a run and as it's sunny I think a visit to the park is in order.

Not sure about dinner, usually cook pizza.

    Hugs and spoons all round.

    Molly hugs for you xxx

Esmf good luck with your training xx

    Morning all,

Much better weather here, bright and crisp although chilly. I'm another one who missed the bin man so a trip to the tip in the morning. bitsy our garage is a tip, it's everyone's dumping ground, it drives dh mad as he uses it as a gym so can feel a massive clear out coming on.
Tru gonna start my list today as well. I need to get better at meal planning, I want to start a Christmas fund for next year.
We have lots of decorating to do starting with the stairs and landing and the banisters need to be restained.
Next the upstairs bathroom and lastly the ensuite in my dd room, plus the radiator needs sorting in there, oh hum the list goes on....
Luxor I'm another one who is desperate to take the decs down, but will wait until the 2nd Jan or they will all moan.

Hubby is working today. A general clean around and I've already stripped the bed. I want to put my new flannalette sheets on that mum and dad bought is for Christmas, my perfect gift, she knows me so well:D

  • Good morning everyone :)

Lovely and sunny here but still quite windy so have risked some towels and tea towels on the washing line. Tomorrow's weather looks good too so will throw a load of bedding in the machine overnight and try drying that in the morning.

Still eating leftovers here but no turkey as I did not buy/cook any! Last night we had salmon with pasta, tonight we are having dim sum, as several trays of Chinese snacks are taking up far too much space in the freezer.

DGD was in shopping heaven yesterday and managed to get a massive bag of glittery, girly clothes with her Christmas money, so she was a very happy girl. I resisted buying until I saw a jar of peaches in brandy and couldn't resist them!

Still enough chocolate in the house to fill a sweetshop and I gave GDD a load to take home last night. If it's not all gone by the time DH goes back to work, will get him to take it in as rewards for his students.

Off for a walk this afternoon to get some fresh air and blow away some cobwebs.

Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep well, warm and safe and have a super day :)

    Morning all,

Bright and beautiful day here, got the wm on the go with the 2nd of 3 loads, will get it all on the line.

Went sale shopping yesterday and bought 9 jumpers (insert blushing smiley- they wont work for some reason ) in my defence I was literally wearing one jumper every day, so its lovely to have a choice and everyone was in the sale !

I cooked a ham yesterday in my new sc and we had it last night with bread and butter pickles and tomatoes, will have the rest tonight with some chips.

DD is off to her new young mans tonight to meet the parents and have dinner, he seems like a nice lad but his mum waits on him hand and foot, he seems to expect it here too ! never going to happen, I made his wash up last time and have told dd she needs to make it clear that we all muck in here, we all work or go to uni full time so everyone is expected to help !

Thr TV has been really bad over xmas, I need to catch up with Dr who and the midwife and that's all I am bothered about.

Right best get on, have good days all xx

    Morning all,

Had a lovely visit from friends last night...we hadnt seen them for ages as they no longer live nearby all the time, DS1 was here at thetime sonthey had a great chat with him too....she was his headmistress in primary school.

My new computer, courtesy of my children is now up and running....I am a little nervous tbh,

Have filled up the freezer with as much as possible of the excess food, have sliced the ham and bagged it for sandwiches through January, last of pudding mix is steaming as I type, will be kept for next Christmas so feeling a bit head of the game..have no intention of going shopping any time soon.

Trying to meal plan for 2014, need to have some very expensive dental work soon so corners will have to be cut all round...need to do new budget too as income and expenditure will change next month.

Wind gone and its a sunny day here, not warm but cheerful.

    Have a great weekend

    Just, lol.
Hubby & I stayed in bed this morning to take advantage of the morning glory, & very nice it was too.
Hubby's off to meet a friend soon for a drink, he phoned his brother to see if he wanted to go but he refused, he's too busy gambling online, I best clear the spare room, if his house gets repossessed guess where he'll end up!
Another lazy day for me, though I'm feeling a bit better, I will go for a walk when hubby's gone out, we went from flood alert to flood warning at 9:40 last night, so I'll see how bad it is.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Morning all,

hubby back at work today. He's got New Years day off but he's chose to go in early as he says he needs the money. Who am I to argue?

All daily chores have been completed already and I am putting off cleaning out the fridge.

I'm amazed. Ive ate chocolate until it has come out of my ears over Christmas and I haven't exactly been careful with my diet either but ive not put on weight.... that's a first for me. I was sure I'd put on a pound or two.

This mornings left over breakfast was 2 pickled eggs and 3 After Eight mints.... I thought I'd take one for the team and I feel rather sick now. Still, at least I wont be wanting dinner in a hurry.:D At this rate I might even lose a pound or two. :)

I'm hoping to put off food shopping till the beginning of the week.

Not sure what we will be having for tea.... Probably turkey again.:(

    Have a good day all,

    Afternoon All

Glad to hear all is well with the world, DG - hope you and OH recover soon. Hugs to those feeling under the weather.

Went to nearest biggish town today to look at Wilk0's sale, bought some ribbon that will do for sewing, 3m for 50p which I thought quite good.
Also went to HB and bought a couple of bits but nothing much. Topped up the fresh veg and fruit from L!dl. Home by 11.30!

Put washing on the line, first time at this house, and it started to rain! Never mind, it will get an airing between showers. Took the roof bars off the car too as they make a howling noise if you go above 50mph!

Off to friends later to see all the family, her DD got engaged just before christmas so will be able to congratulate them too.

Take care and have a good weekend. XX
  • Afternoon everyone, hope everyone is ok. Chilly but sunny day today. Windows open to give the house an airing as felt very stuffy in here. Have put my bedding on the line as still a bit breezy , not half as bad as the past few days though . Took the dogs back up over the fields for a good run round earlier, they are now crashed out snoring. Am itching to take the few decorations down but have been told no , they are my snow globes and Christmas crystals and I worry about them getting broken as some are nearly 40 years old. Took dd to get an iphone out of her Christmas money, she has been after one for ages but I couldn't justify buying one whilst her blackberry was still working so she bought her own. Finished slicing the turkey crown yesterday evening for the freezer , 105 slices I got out of it and some scrappy bits for the dogs. This wasn't including what was eaten Christmas/Boxing Day. I paid £25 for it from a farmer so worked out extremely reasonably priced. So turkey will appear frequently over the next few months as there will be only 3 of us once ds goes back to uni on Thursday . Dinner tonight is beef casserole with fresh crusty bread, and veggies . Right I'm off as can see my sister walking up the path, have safe days all xx
  • Just delurking as I haven't posted in ages.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and is keeping well.
