Well, you have to define 'antique' and, possibly, say how much you want to spend.
- doesn't look 'antique' to me, costs next to zero, and the battery lasts for up to a month(!).
To narrow your options down see http://www.omio .com/deals/pay-as-you-go and try using filters in the tabs. There are smartphones for about £30 that you can use with mobile data switched off if you don't need it.0 -

If you don't wish to order online, you may be able to pick an ALCATEL TRIBE 3000 at ASDA for £12.50
Again £0.99 to unlock
Though the Argos phone is a bit more sophisticated, you might not like the colour.0 -
Some phones are so antique they are cool! I know a couple of people who have given up modern phones and are using old Nokias. I'm not sure how long they will keep it up though, and I suspect one of them also has a smartphone hidden away somewhere.0

You would be better off looking round the shops to see whats out there, and then doing a little research online.
There are some reasonable pay as you go deals out there if you dont wat a contract and if signing up for a contract I would also sugest trying out a few networks for a while to make sure that you have a good signal.
If you want a basic phone with a good battery life then it will probably be a 2G phone so you may be better off avoiding three.0 -

I still use one of these for what I refer to as my "Africa phone".
With a full charge it will easily last 9 or 10 days with me making calls every day and it's nearly bulletproof. I've dropped it many times, it's been covered in beer on more than one occasion and I don't have to worry about damaging it if it's in my pocket when I sit down.
No internet access, no radio, no camera etc, but the audio quality is probably far better than my UK smartphone (Samsung galaxy)0 -
Any of the Nokia Asha range might meet your needs.
The Asha 300 is well made and the battery lasts many days on standby.0
