Does Home Insurance cover fence

Due to the strong wind and gales both the side of my fence are down and damage. I will have to replace these with more stronger ones, I wonder if this is covered in home insurance

you would need to check your policy, but at a guess unless you have garden cover (generally an added extra) then I'd be more enclined to say no. Sorry x

Most policies specifically exclude cover for fences in storms, however a few will provide cover if the main home was also damaged at the same time.

As the others have pointed out, have a read of your policy, you should find it under the buildings section and the subsection for storm or general exclusions
