Only if they're riding on the road, not if they're riding on the pavement, and crossing a zerbra crossing with it.

The pavement and crossings are roads according to the road traffic act. So they would be riding on the road.

Not sue where this is going. A pedestrian is, by definition, someone on foot. As soon as they get on a bicycle, Segway or whatever, they are no longer a pedestrian. Otherwise a car driver is a pedestrian who just happens to be inside a metal box. Define a word too loosely and it stops meaning anything at all.
If someone is nice to you but rude to the waiter, they are not a nice person.

OP how can you not see a pedesterian walking out??? You can spot pedestrians walking out from miles away, the only idiots I have problems with are cyclists who are on their bycyclits riding on pavements as if they're pedestrians.

Had one dart out from almost nowhere once and had to slam on my emergcy brakes. Deep inside I wish I run over these !!!!!! once to teach them a lessons. Insurance will probably take my side because they were riding illegally and there's no way for my to react or even expect someone to fly out from the side like that.

By pedestrians on foot you can spot them miles away, if you see someone coming out off the footpath onto the road and not looking at you for hazard you should stop the car or hit your horn to alert them that you're driving on/

Londontiger developed a new type of pedestrian
  • Just to let everyone know, I have reported this to my Insurance and they took all the details and said they would have to keep it open on my file, and said I was 100% right to report it to them. They gave me a reference number.

Thanks for all your responses and advice.
