O2 Upgrade Question
Hi,
Iam a 02 Samsung galaxy 2 user and I’m due for an upgrade in January 2014, as itstands I would get the Samsung Galaxy 4. I am have read however that the new SamsungGalaxy 5 is due out Feb/March 14 therefore I am debating hanging on until thenso I can get the latest phone. Does anyone know if O2 charge a fee for thehandset when it is brand new, how long does it normally take for the handset toreduce down to free of charge/is there a certain monthly tariff where the phoneautomatically comes free of charge?
Cheers
Mark.

It's never really 'free', you just pay the price via higher monthly payments. I am pretty sure that pretty much any new handset will be available for 'free' with some hugely overpriced 24-month contract.0

I think you will find it's more like April or June, and there will often be an upfront cost plus high loooong 24 month agreement.0 -
Thanks for the info, I get quite a good discount as an NHS employee so the 24 year contract doesn't bother me too much.
Thanks,

what if nhs laid offDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

We get an nhs discount on our contracts and they don't ask for proof every month, just at the beginning of the contract. So it doesn't matter if "nhs laid off" as you'll keep your discount.0

Don't know about O2, but some networks won't do the very latest handsets on any discount scheme in the devices first few months. Might be worth checking before deciding...0
