Any ideas how I can get a mobile signal?

Borrow friends' phones on all the other networks and check the signal, I feel sure one network will have coverage.0

Is texting a possibility? As far as I am aware, texting requires less bandwidth than phone calls.0

You could try satellite broadband - then you could use Skype or something similar. Vodaphone do a mobile phone booster which uses broadband to provide you with a mobile phone signal - called the "Sure Signal" - look here http://help.vodafone.co.uk/system/selfservice.controller?CONFIGURATION=1000&PARTITION_ID=1&CMD=BROWSE_TOPIC&USERTYPE=1&LANGUAGE=en&COUNTRY=us&TOPIC_ID=248291&TOPIC_NAME=%5B04%5DAbout%20your%20Sure%20Signal&PARENT_TOPIC_ID=248295&SOURCE_FORM=TOPIC_TREE&DISPLAY=SUBTOPICARTICLESNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0
