Sky Offer - Free WiFi Booster

Options

Comments

  • Hi,

I've tried to get this offer. However I am an ex O2 client who's broadband has been transfered to sky....how can I redeem this offer? I am already a sky customer for TV so already have an account but the broadband doesn't appear on my sky account :/ Anybody knows???

    thanks
    Anne
  • This is really only for those who genuinely find they need a boost to their Wi-Fi signal.
Be aware, it won't do anything to improve your broadband speed and a far better option (for most) is a set of Powerline adaptors.

Accepting the free wifi booster offer commits you to a new contract with Sky of One Million years, not a lot of people know that.

Prepare for a rash of threads in 2014 "I've got a wifi booster from Sky and it does not:-
Work 'cos I'm too thick to set it up.
I don't know what its for
    I can't get HD channels
    Improve my broadband speed
    Make me irresistable to men/women
    Improve my sex life

Happy new year to one and all.

Well, I'm happy. We have an old booster upstairs that doesn't boost very well at all, glad to receive a free replacement.

  • Booster? Its just a WiFi repeater which is wired by a LAN cable.

    The question,

Does it come with a LAN Cable, if so - how long is it?

You seem to know all about it, pity you are incorrect.

Ethernet only used for manual set up. Thereafter you can stick it where its needed.

No it isn't, so no it doesn't. It just needs power.

Yes, 12 inches (long enough to connect to the router / hub and configure the "repeater" manually).

Arrived today improves reception in Conservatory.
Plug in press the wps buttons, and Robert becomes a close relative.

Got mine this morning, now have full wifi coverage in my bedroom :j

Didn't need the cable, just plugged it in, pressed wps, all done. Much less faff than the TP Link one we had, that didn't really work very well at all.
