Which of the tv's would you buy ?
LG 32LN5400
or the
Samsung UE22F5400
I noticed the LG at Sainsburys earlier as it was priced at £200 and have just seen the Sammy on amazon for a little more (was less according to a post on hukd) but its a smaller screen but with more features.
An xbox 360 and a Virgin Media V+ box would be connected up and used in a bedroom.

32 inch versus 22 inch?
What are your requirements?1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -

Requirements are a decent picture, enough hdmi ports for the xbox and V+ box, a usb port for a hard drive. The y both have enough HDMI and usb ports but the LG doesn't (or cant for the life of me see it mentioned) have a headphone socket but the Sammy does.
Was after a 32" to be honest.0 -
I have that samsung and it is fantastic, however as you have both an xbox and virgin, you aren't going to benefit from the features of a smart TV as you can access catch up on both your current devices and if you wanted apps you can just download them on your xbox.0

The 32 inch every time, as long as you've counted the HDMI ports, and don't need the headphones. It only has a Freeview, not FreeviewHD tuner, but I don't think that'll matter for your use.0

Just 1 question and the last 1, ive looked on the LG site for the TV and can't see any mention of a port to plug in some headphones, unless its called something I dont recognise. Ive looked on asda direct and they mention a audio line-in so would this be what Im after ?
I can check tomorrow if they have a disaply model, just thought someone could clarify before I get 1..0 -

The LG has some good reviews but there isn't much information regarding the input lag and motion blur which gamers find important, I'm guessing you might be playing XBox games. There is mention in this thread about motion blur and the LG:
http://www.eurogamer.net/forum/thread/253319
"So I changed it for the LG 32LN5400 (40 quid dearer, no smart TV etc)....
The motion blur is slightly better, especially on the desktop when scrolling, the text no longer turns into a blur. There still blur in game but its is id say maybe a 25% improvement at a guess.
however, the black levels are nowhere near as good as the Samsung and the sound is nothing short pathetic and tinny and on a white background the colour is uneven and greyish on the left hand side. I definitely can't put up with that sound. Going back !"
Argos has the LG TV on sale for £200: http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9158630.htm
The LG TV does not have a headphone socket.0 -
Have a look at Richer Sounds. Fantastic company, excellent customer service, great on After sales, they will haggle and join their newsletter and get a £10 voucher off your item too.
And no, I don't work for them but wouldn't shop anywhere else now.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Well I've had the Samsung UE22F5400 for just 6 months now, and it is a cracking little TV. You can pay a little more and get it 5 years guarantee with it from some places. Is worth noting though the headphone is right at the back the TV.0
