Ideas for somewhere warm in February half term??

Hi,
I'd just like some ideas of where to go for the feb half term. 2 adults and 1 child. I would ideally like somewhere with a heated pool as my little one loves swimming.
Any recommendations?
Budget up to 2k

Thanks!

    Egypt would fit the bill

Canary Islands and nearby like Madeira are quite pleasant early in the year.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

In Feb if you want warm weather and to be able to swim outside you need to go further afield. The Canaries would be a good option although it may or may not be warm enough to swim in the pool outside. (If it's heated you should be ok), Egypt, Cape Verde, Goa and the Caribbean would be your other options. Based on your budget I would mainly look at the Canaries and Egypt.

Yes, I was thinking the canaries or Egypt. Are the heated pools always heated enough?? Does it really make a difference??

    enough for what?
Some people like swimming in hot soup, others prefer refreshing coolness, what do YOU like?

Well, I guess I mean warm enough that my little one can play happily for hours without the risk of hyperthermia! Lol
Probably the same warmth as at a local swimming baths..... Not soupy warm!

If you decide on the Canaries I fear you're going to be disappointed, unless your £2K stretches to a hotel with an indoor pool?

I go to the Canaries every Feb/Mar. Always swim in the sea, but rarely ventured into the pools as much too cold for me.

Was about to mention indoor pools as heated outside ones are fairly rare.

One half term we went to sousse in Tunisia with indoor pool, good job as shorts and t shirts was pushing it a bit on some days.

Half term is early this year so keep this on mind
  • I'd say canary islands. Problem is they'll be quite expensive by now. Holiday Village Tenerife is great if you can get in, as is the RIU Paraiso Lanzarote. Both have heated outdoor pools. Just got back yesterday from the Paraiso, and was fine swimming there.
