Cash Genie obtaining your Visa card details

Does anyone know if this is true? My partner took out a loan with Cash genie a year ago whilst with Natwest. Since then he ended up in financial difficulty and is now with Barclays bank. He is attempting to set up a payment plan with cash genie but somehow Cash Genie have got hold of his debit card details for Barclays and…
